Indian meal for 2 deal £4.00 - Morrisons

Indian meal for 2 including 2 dishes, rice, naan and side all for £4. I thoroughly recommend the Morrisons dishes and in my opinion they are the closest you can get to a take out.

Geat value at £2 a head! This deal is hotter than the curries!

Never had the one posted but i always used to buy the Tescos microwave Indian meals.

I then tried the morrisons ones and have never looked back. The best microwave Indian meals out there for their price too. trust me i've been averaging one a day for the past 5 years ;-)

They are the pre bagged ones, you get a choice though can't remember all but i get the one that includes the korma and tikka massala main, Also agree that these are the best microwavable currys on the market, very large portions too!!

Yes you can freeze them.

They are the pre-bagged ones. Had one last week with the wife and it was pretty good. Can't complain at £2 per head.

It is set up to heat really easily - everything at the same temperature in the oven - main meal for 20 mintues; rice, nans and onion bhajis for slightly less time. Really really easy.

Claire Hope - was writing mine when you posted yours. I would say that although microwaveable best to heat in the oven as in my opinion they tase better.

Agreed better heated in oven, when i have frozen these i have defrosed naturally or via microwave then finished off in oven.

Also i love adding adding peanuts or cashew nuts to the pilau rice when serving- yum!!

This has been going on for weeks now...i'm sure it's been posted before, but i thought Morrisons were stopping the deal a few weeks back, however they don't seem to be, which is good!

I'm not being biased (as I posted this deal) but if you haven't tried one of these meals, for £4 you cannot go wrong. I am consistantly impressed with Morrisons Indian food as I believe they are great value. In my opinion they really do come close to what is served at a takeaway and the meal is a good portion for 2 adults.

Your definitely going to the wrong restaurants then
#22
they're nice but nothing like a take-away by a country mile lol. if you want close to a take-away you are better making yourself.

these are to takeaways as what mcdonalds is to a home made cheeseburger or a frozen supermarket pizza is to a pizza from an italian restaurant. they taste nice, but different league.

I think you need to take in to context that this is a ready meal /////  and when stated 'come close' should be taken into comparison with other ready meals. Coming from the home of Indian food (Birmingham :) ) I've had a few curries in my time....... :w00t:

Tried one on Saturday. Won't be doing it again. A pale reflection of the real thing. As ever, you get what you pay for, but no question it's a lot of food for the price.
