1min per lap? are you confusing these places with Knockhill? It takes no time at all to get around these tracks.

Not that I'm voting either way but the Kirkcaldy site isn't very good. I went there many times thinking it was, only when I went to a place just south of Edinburgh did I get my eyes opened to what indoor karting should really be like.

depending on how you drive laps are around 30 seconds or less, but very fun, im sure it wont be 100 laps continuous probably be like 10 race 10 laps each etc, i went to one down south end last week, good stuff.

As the BAHRAIN GRAND PRIX is cancelled next weekend why not go out and have a thrash your self :D

About 29s for a traffic free lap at Kirkcaldy

I did a mini championship once, 5 races of 4 laps and 1 final of 8. I was absolutely exhausted after that, and this is four times as long! I think it was a thirty second average lap time?

I'd love to have a go though, if only it were a bit further south.

First time I've seen Kirkcaldy mentioned in a deal. Have some heat.

years ago i did a work night out at the kirkcaldy track, about 15 of us took part.

we did some qualifying laps then lined up for a proper race, think it was 40 laps long.

i started 3rd, and was doing ok. after about 15 laps, my motion sickness started to kick in, 2 laps later, i was sick in my helmet :|

Karting is great fun, and this price is superb. But if you suffer from motion sickness, dont stay on the kart for too long!

25 seconds lap, so 100 laps would take you near enough 42 minutes. For £42, that's £1 a minute. Really cheap for go karting!

great deal

You'll need juicy biceps to do a 100 laps, and if you haven't you will when you've finished! :p

COLD COLD COLD!

I work part time at Scotkart, Clydebank & Cambuslang.

If you say this is 100 laps, a few folk have mentioned around 30 seconds give or take for a traffic free lap, add a few seconds if you're on with idiots with yellow flags, still gonna work around 30 mins total for £37???! BUMP BUMP

Down at Scotkart, you pay £15 for 10 minutes, £25 for 20 minutes or £33 for 30 minutes. Better karts, in fact a new fleet on Biz karts will replace the sodi ones in end of this month. And it's Scotland largest track, along with Xtreme karting Falkirk, only SCOTLANDS 5* kart racing.

This deal certainly isn't hot.

Scotkart, Raceland or Xtreme are the only places in Scotland you should kart IMO.

And lap times are 30 seconds....IF YOU'RE GOOD!!!

Joe public average 33+.

Having been to Kartstart a couple of times, I would find it hard to recommend, especially open night, unless you are a fan of driving Miss Daisy and enjoy a procession.

The fun should come from racing colleagues, however Staff tend to be over zealous and even the slightest of contact resulted in folk getting "warnings" and it was all to easy to get chasing colleagues a warning by breaking early into bends and forcing a wee shunt.

Worst still, when folk got a clear run and pushed it a bit, they were told to slow down, boring!

I honestly couldn't care less where people spend their hard earned cash, this deal is hot and I have no idea why.

Your Arrive & Drive timed sessions are CHEAPER than this deal!!! Basically this deal is 30 minutes for £37, or you could just book 30 mins for £30 and save £7.

So by rights this deal is currently 329 degrees, I post your Arrive & Drive prices by rights because it's £7 cheaper it should hit 700 degrees!

If you work for this mob you're cheekily trying to up sell and pull the wool over peoples eyes by making out this is a better deal and sticking £7 extra per driver in your pocket in the process.

Hence I'm here making it clear, this deal is not the cheapest option for 30 mins at Kartstart give or take.

Couldnt agree more mate. I often go karting in West Yorkshire and my local track in Bradford charges £20 for 30mins , and its a proper outdoor track not these micky mouse indoor ones.

Sounds like one of your key figures is wrong...

Below calculation based on the 30 second per lap figure being quoted:
100 laps * 30 seconds = 3000 seconds, 3000secs/60 secs = approx. 50 minutes of driving at kartstart for £37, and that's if you're a quick driver, have a clear track, etc...

Just throwing that clarification out there before this gets further out of hand. I have no idea how the two tracks, or sets of karts compare to each other, or if there's any other filler that eats up your time at drunk1's tracks, or any other factors to the comparison.

Only time i've been karting has been outdoors in Tenerife which were supposedly with faster karts than the typical British ones according to my mate.
Would love to go again but have no idea how indoor karting compares, or if there's any hidden costs/catches in these deals like there are in the paintball ones.
All i know is i was dehydrated afterwards, and had bruising all over my back. Great fun :)
