Ours has reflux but infant gaviscon made him constipated, paedeatrician prescribed ranitidine & domperidone, he's still puking loads but he isn't in pain anymore.

I have to disagree. Definitely worked for our baby. Not even sure how the placebo affect can apply to a baby!
I guess for some babies it works and for others it doesn't.
I for one will be investing in good old fashioned paracetamol/ other things for my 15 week old.
