Description
With an array of electricity-based super powers at their disposal, players can roam the open world of Empire City either to protect or destroy its citizens.

Open world titles such as Grand Theft Auto may give players a fully-realised city to explore, but its characters are still grounded in reality. In a similar vein to Xbox 360 title Crackdown, inFamous throws reality out of the window, giving players a huge variety of superhuman powers to utilize as they survey Empire City from top to bottom. Playing as urban explorer Cole, players can use their new abilities to protect or abuse the city and its citizens. Each decision the player makes will have an impact on their surroundings, ultimately deciding whether Empire City will be saved or destroyed.

With such powerful talents at a players disposal, the typical limits of free-roaming games have been removed, letting players scale tall buildings or create mass destruction at will. During combat, Cole can use his electricity moves in a variety of creative ways, even sending jolts of lighting from his hands to fling enemies through the air.

By removing the typical constrictions of open world titles, inFamous lets players enjoy the scope of Empire City without limit.

Think you are over selling it a tad there, its a very good game and this is well worth it at this price. GTA IV is a better sandbox but this is fun and as you say addictive, the only negatives are the population don't do enough different stuff, there is not enough variation for cars and people and just stuff going on (one example being there must be like 4 models of car in the game, with 100s of parked Police cars everywhere!). Also some of the side missions get hellish repetative but apart from that its a very good game.

Yes. As long as the save is still on the console.

Only real difference is packaging.:)

Lol, I personally don't like GTA (and by that I mean any game which is remotely like GTA), but inFAMOUS kept my attention for 2 full play through the game, and I even got the platinum trophy. That's why I think it is the best sandbox game I've played, and of course you can't really expect he AI to be as good as GTA, because this is SuckerPunch's first attempt at doing an entire city.

Great game at a cheap price it's still quite a shock how fast this has gone down in price I noticed Grainger Games Middlesbrough store had dropped the price on Infamous pre-owned for £17. The story was great I thought the comic book cut scenes were nice.

why pay a measly £15.99 when you can get it for a bargain £67.47 from Tesco's... ;-)
