I really enjoyed Da Vinci Code and found it quite visually stunning, so in 4K it'll really come to life.

Havent seen Inferno, but I will be getting it so makes sense for me.

Hope it helps someone out looking for a cheap 4K set.

Da Vinci code is only theatrical cut which would stop me buying it as a set or on it's own, you'd think the studios would have learned by now but apparently not.

Inferno only opened in cinemas last week so this et wont be available for a while, im sure better deals will come along for this in the meantime

Note sure what you mean about the "buy 2 get 1 free" is this an actual promotion on amazon, as I can't see any mention of it, or do you just mean compared to buying the films individually at £20 a pop?

Much as I'd like to build my UHD movie collection (currently only consists of creed thanks to the Argos misprice) it's still £40 for three films....

tge first 2 films are already out at £19.99 . You're effectively getting the 3rd free if you buy the boxset on preorder And don't forget you also get a blu ray and digital copy included

I think the same was said for the Ghostbusters Trilogy too. Annoyingly, I went for that (because I was going to buy the first 2 anyway) and have since seen the 'third' in the cinema. Meh.

Suppose I can sell the code and sell the disc and reduce the price of the original two.

Which at £13 a disc, would make them the cheapest retail 4K discs on the market.

I noticed the original RRP was £19.99 when they first started coming out, so I bought most of mine around £15-16 mark.

But the new RRP looked to be around £22.99-24.99 what with Star Trek Beyond etc, but im seeing a lot of the re-mastered ones (like Bourne Trilogy and Hunger Quadrilogy) coming in at £24.99+

Worrying that the RRP seems to be moving.

I blame Xbox S.

And Brexit.

Point of comment is the fact you haven't mentioned it's a pre order anywhere on your post..... Your post sounds like it's released and on the market but fact is its not available on the market

Fair enough, I've decided to pre order simply because it is the cheapest option for 4k discs at the moment, as they aren't released yet I have a bit of time to think it over and cancel if I see a better deal. I'd like to order the Ghostbusters trilogy too but searching just brings up the first two films, have they removed it?

Crazy prices for the benefit of looking slightly better as long as you have a giant TV to notice the difference - this is why I have no interest in 4K...

Agreed 50" plus will do for a 3.5 meter distance sure bigger is btr but you can still see a clear difference on a 50" 4k, as for the comment slight difference lol of course its all subjective but with a proper setup ( n I don't mean lots of money) there's nothing SLIGHT about it, but then people watch 5mbps itunes or netfix over the 35mbps of the Blu-ray, put up with dvd quality audio over dts master, and makes statements of convenience and saving shelf space or not having to lift there fat back side of the couch to change a disc etc etc to these people they don't care about quality so it's pointless buying a large 1080p screen let alone 4k.

There difference is clear to see gamers playing 4k can see clear differences it's night and day, when most people notice it and you can't then it should tell you something, but I'm sure more excuses will be made.

Creed was £6.99 the other day and another UHD BD was £8 in Tesco. So £13 whilst decent, it's hardly the cheapest.

I do wonder what DVD will be included with The Da Vinci Code, there was a recent re-issue, which was a very nice upgrade on the original BD (and what I imagine was the source for the UHD BD). But Sony have a knack of putting the wrong encode on the discs these days, they managed to put the wrong version of Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon on the recently released BD (like Bad Boys it was the old master).
