Post needs to be alittle clearer, £3.99 is the price if you order 3 single discs, total £11.97.

Great price, really need to start looking at getting myself a blu-ray writer.

No doubt there will be an idiot along soon saying about how risky it is storing such large volumes of data on a single disk...

You know, it's really risky to store such large volumes of data on a single disk!:x

I had to get that one in. Yes I am an idiot.

This will be fine if you have a couple of hours to write each disc you make at twice speed!!:whistling:
A step in the right direction though and nice deal nonetheless - voted hot.

Obviously every price drop is good, but I'd be fuming if the burn process failed on one of these!!!!!

I remember how unreliable CD-R's were, then the same happened with the first load of DVD-R's. I think this time round I might wait a while and let others ride the bleeding edge of IT!!

Decent deal though, definitely a step in the right direction. A couple more years and we'll all be buying cake boxes of BD-RE's with our spare change...

Burning to a writable is too risky with Blu-ray at the moment, re-writables give you a cushion of hope if it all goes wrong! Heat added

now all i need is the ps3 to be hacked with softmod.

On a re-writable disk? Just take a deep breath, format and try again.

Yes still the cheapest out there, shame they have not come down in price though.

Im unsure of what softmod is, is it to enable the ps3 to play blu ray re writables and write once bd discs?

i'm sure it can already do that..... can't it?

anyway, even if it cant, i'll just get the main m2ts from the STREAM folder & just burn as DATA BD.
^ thats when i get my writer of course :)

I didnt think the ps3 was able to be modded for back up games yet, thanks

Bought these the last time they were posted.

Writing is a bit slow, but otherwise great.

Imo the easiest way to play a 12gig+ bluray rip on your console without going down the road of wireless streaming or splitting a movie in to 3 or 4 parts to overcome the limitations of FAT32...

It cant, thats why he said he would have to wait.

Won't be getting into the blu-ray game myself for a while, but I'm looking forward to the day I can put about thirty films on one disk!
Or better still, about 700 films if these these see the light of day... ;)

I too remembered the cdr days when I got a 2x burner for.....£274!!!. I wont be getting into the bluray game for at least until the end of this year to see what sort of prices for player, rewriter and disc comes down too; and like you said let the tech ironed out 1st.
