This is aimed I guess at low use, users who don't do many miles although is quite a good camera detector for those who don't want to spend too much.

Have got one of these and it's pretty good - free updates using Pocket World GPS database - good if you're going abroad as it covers Europe (though you can only select certain countries when you upload the database due to storage) - don't' worry about the case - it's basically a memory stick in form, with a protective cover, so sits happily in your pocket as is

Zoombits were doing these for about £30 before Xmas, but they no longer seem to do this sort of stuff - I would recommend buying one if you need occasional speed camera warnings - i.e. you travel a well trodden path every day, but occasionally go on unfamiliar roads
Seems a good little gadget, i have built in sat nav but no camera warnings, can it be concealed somewhere or does it need to be on the window ?
DONT use it in Spain, the police here love fines ;-)
and make sure you have enough CASH in Euros to pay any fine on the spot. Then they happily take your money and leave it at that, otherwise trouble, and never argue ;-)

"Spain’s Congress of Deputies gave approval to a measure that makes it a crime to use a GPS (a.k.a. satellite navigation) device while behind the wheel. The provision appeared as part of a broader legislation designed to update the traffic code with measures that encourage motorists to pay fines without challenge. Radar detectors are already illegal in Spain. But because satellite navigation devices come as factory options on most modern vehicles, officials could not easily outlaw their ownership. Instead, government ministers proposed to restrict GPS use since the devices are increasingly being loaded with maps that warn motorists of locations where speed cameras are in use.Driving using navigation devices or any other communication system,” earns three points and a €200 fine, according to the legislation."
Last year I bought one of these from Halfords. One of the worst gadgets I've ever bought. Makes all sorts of noises and no doubt it's working as designed but I've no idea what it's trying to tell me. My old Talex device was about £120 but it's wonderful.

Save your money (or you can have mine for £20 if you wish).
£39.99 @ Halfords. No waiting for the postie.

@anthony712 - this is so small I am sure it could easily be hidden from Spanish police or they may not even know what it is.
Accurate up to 10 meters? I have a feeling that might be somewhat useless..

At 60mph that is something like 27 metres per second. Are you sure that 10 metres warning is not enough?
Well, no one has responded re my virtually new one for £20 delivered so I don't think it's going to get very hot at £36.75. Shame really - the concept is good but it's just not very intuitive in use. Free updates a big advantage though.
