We have used one of those some years ago (was called "The Ultimate Oven" in those days). Cooks well, we even cooked our small Christmas turkey. Easy to clean as well. But don't believe all the claims made in the Dailymail about odourless, sealing the food, etc. It is like a small fan-assisted oven, worth the money for Holiday appartment or student home, etc. The price is good though. Therefore it's hot from me.

I wasn't quite sure what a Halogen Oven was but I found a video that tells you a little about it. It's for a different but similar oven and might help you decide if its the sort of thing that might be useful.

Personally it looks good for a small family, but I think you'd struggle to feed more than a couple of large hungry mouths.

The offer here looks a good price and is slightly larger than the one in the video 12L v 10L

Been looking at one of these halogen things for a while but was unsure, after reading the dailymail review & watching the vid I think at 39.99 its well worth a punt and as all my kitchen gadgets are black this is a plus...Heat added.

Got a huge one the size of a large microwave. You can cook a chicken in less than 30 mins :santa:

Yeah - if these are anyway as good as a Solardom then they are an excellent buy - we have a range cooker but only ever use the main oven now as the halogen is so quick and versatile.

A fairly decent and honest review of halogen ovens

I posted this uninterested by the product itself thinking that other people would be able to take advantage of it

Now I hear voices saying 'buy me mister'.

they're not quite as revolutionary as some of the blurb would have you believe, but they are quite nifty, and save leccy :)
we paid 50> for ours, nice price here :)

we've a got a JML one. Use it nearly every day - no regrets.

I posted the Argos deal a month ago and have used mine many times since.

It works so well that I find it difficult to get the timing right, especially when stuff is wrapped in foil (Salmon, chicken etc.). It cooks a fair bit faster than my conventional oven & food is juicier too.

I've ordered The Halogen Oven Cookbook on Amazon which should arrive soon:
http://www.amazon.co.uk/Halogen-Oven-Cookbook-Norma-Miller/dp/0716022532/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1260464435&sr=8-1

Hopefully this will help.

Great product - heat added.
