Hi All,
Just to confirm, this website is for ING employees only. Posting the link is in violation of the agreement between ING and its employee benefits provider.
Both companies are aware and investigating.
reward gateway
I get this anyway through my company
But if it's a sms voucher and you get it and spend it asap then they can't take it from you

Still looks available to me? Is there a reason why it has been expired?

It's an employee rewards site. I suspect that's why it keeps getting expired. The terms and conditions specifically mention this fact, and the FAQ specifically mentions that it is closed to the general public and for members only.

Basically, someone has found a back door in to an ING rewards site and posted it up here as a deal.

Instant Access ING Direct Savings Account Paying 2.75% AER

Easy access to your money * New customers can enjoy a guaranteed rate of 2.75% AER for 12 months (2.72% gross p.a.). Interest paid monthly. After 12 months the rate will revert to our ING Direc…

Ing - new customers only not available to existing account holders. You need to have not had an Ing account for the past six months to qualify. I would never deal with them because of this. Cold.

The Saffron Building Society are offering 2.65% on an instant access account, and they have full UK protection, unlike ING Direct which are not covered by the UK scheme.

It would seem that ING Current and Savings accounts are even better protected with 200,000 euros, when compared against the £50k offered by Saffron and the MAJOR British banks.

If you can meet the conditions........ Lloyds Classic with Vantage (CURRENT account) pays 4%.

It's not for everyone but for me the conditions are easily met with some a few scheduled transfers.

thepearce, did you read the T&C of your account with Lloyds properly? I think you might find yourself getting well below 4% interest for your first £5000 and 0.5% for anything over £7000.

Yes thanks - I read them fine - did you? You get 4% on the entire amount up to £7k when you have a balance greater than £5k. The interest on any amount over £7k is very poor. Just keep a balance of £5k to 7k and pay in £1k a month and job's a good un.

Agree with bohemianellie.
For anyone looking for an internet savings account with the ability to transfer money in and out of your normal current account [ in my case a different bank] it's ideal.
I opened up this account 2/3 weeks ago when it was announced - and as a bonus [then] I get £20 bonus paid into the account over and above the cracking 2.75%

Preferably a valid post code in/ near Glasgow.
I phoned them this morning and was told that because I didn't receive the Promotional Code directly from ING Direct, they won't give me £20. They knew I couldn't have got directly because my postcode wasn't targeted.

Can someone who has got £20 tell me their postcode so I can phone them back up and say I saw the code while visiting a friend.
I've been patient and have yet to receive my £20. I think I'll need to contact them about it.

hi there everyone just to let every one know that my girlfriend done this added the £1 and they took the £1 as stated to find out today they have took another £60 from her account dated the 2nd august 2010 even though its only the 31st just today.

so just a little heads up it may be worth checking your bank accounts as when she called them they says that no direct debit or £60 has been taken so she called rbs and they refunded the full amount to her bank.

Thanks.
Told me the same story about it being a fake account but the feel good website is controlled by an ing email
Opened an account and a few days later when I logged in the £20 was there.

do you have an offer code or id?
http://www.ingdirect.co.uk/offer20

You do not even need to put in anything to get £20, just by opening an account by 30th of September.

http://www.ingdirect.co.uk/offer75

Or if you have more spare cash, you could get £75.

I used to have an account with them but their rates just could not keep up, maybe a good time to have an account with them again.
great offer thanx!
Cheers!
This will be handy to whack some of my student loan in.
Effectively a 10% rate, beats the pants off the 6% ISA's

I wonder if it's possible to open 2 accounts? hmm
That was for their general terms and conditions, the money has to come from a cheque in your name to verify your identity (the account can normally be opened with £1). However for this promotion you have to pay a minimum of £1000 in to qualify for the £50.

Hope that helps

Ian

Would also like to make people aware of this discussion I found on MSE: http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showthread.html?t=525289&highlight=ing+join+%A325
seems to show that they are only targeted marketing and these offers will only apply to certain people, however their T+C's are a bit nondescript... but the CS team seem to say they will be honoring it (only time will tell) also just a note, this seems to be an ongoing offer as they have done a similar one before.

ING ISA: 6.55%AER for 6 months, 6% after - best most flexible ISA out there £1.00

Prior to the April 5th cycle, I had done loads of research on ISA accounts. Did a comparison from most of the major ISA providers in the UK and my opinion is that the ING ISA offered is the best.

You're free to transfer your ISA to any other provider as many times as you like, you just can't open more than one ISA or pay into more than one ISA within any single year.

I have closed my ING Accounts, they started off well, all open and honest, fair rates, recently they have poor rates, hidden web accounts etc.

Headline ISA Rates, that fall after 6 months...no thanks.

gobofraggle
I'm afraid you're wrong to say that, 'knowledge'... ahem... Poppy said you'd have to move your money to a new ISA, not that you'd have to put more money into a new one.
You can transfer money between ISAs because it is the same £3000 allowance(+ interest). The new account provider arranges the transfer.

Yes but 99% of people would expect that by moving the money you would physically take the money out and open a new one. If the money is withdrawn you cant then take it to another provider and open another.

My point was that you cant just do a cash isa whenever you feel like it, there are limits.
poppy10
The Bank of England have just put the base rate up, it would be best to wait and see which suppliers put their ISA rates up in line with this before deciding on an ISA.

Also, your headline is misleading "6.5% for first 6 months, 6% after" - in fact it's 6.5% for the first 6 months, and then 5.13% after - making an average over the year (AER) of 6.0% (due to compounding.)

5.13% is rubbish!!! You'd have to move your money out to a better ISA after the first 6 months.

You cant do that, only one cash ISA in any given tax year im afraid.
Icesaver.com will give you a better deal with an ordinary internet savings account with over £250 in the account . Remember with the ISA the companies are going to charge you so your taxfree will go in their pockets
