It's World War II, the Ardennes mountains. During a bombing, five no-good soldiers headed to military prison for a variety of transgressions ranging from murder to desertion get a chance to escape when their convoy is attacked. They decide to make for Switzerland and freedom, now as fugitives on the run from both the Americans and the Germans, their only hope of escape in the barrel of a gun.

After mistakenly killing a group of American agents disguised as a German patrol, the party is caught by the French resistance, who give them a last chance at redemption by forcing them to carry out an impossible mission, to sneak into the most heavily guarded Nazi fortress, steal their most precious weapon and return it to the Allies undetected.

Starring Fred `The Hammer' Williamson (Black Caesar, From Dusk Till Dawn) and Bo Svenson (The Delta
Force, Kill Bill), Inglorious Bastards is an explosive thrill ride that will have you on the edge of your seat!

Get an 11 day head-start on the film ( for those of you who are so eager to see it on August 21st)

Can't wait to buy my ticket for this in the cinema,

"What do you want to see sir?" ********!!!

Have seen this movie in a pre-viewing and was very disappointed. But I'm not a Tarantino fan, hope it'll be more entertaining to you.
I didn't even know this was out at the cinemas yet!
Isn't this an old film that tarantino has taken the name from? Not his new one ...

Quite right....The original being more an exploitation war film than a war film. The 2 films probably won't share a lot in common apart from the film buff references. But the original movie is certainly good -If somewhat different. Good price for what was until last year a very hard to find movie!
They share no commonality and even the second word of the title is differently spelled.
True, and the first one as well - 'Inglourious Basterds'

Not long before that gets added to swear filters worldwide, eh Quentin? :-D
they share the name because Tarantino 'loved the title' so he bought the rights to the film for that reason... other than that apparantely they bear no resemblance whatsoever.
But there is an interview with tarantino aswell.
dh just bought this in Tesco for £3 thinking it was the new film...
lmao- £3 in tesco's or £2.99 in does it matter.. you could treat it as a expensive coaster if you dont like it,
