In German-occupied France, Shosanna Dreyfus witnesses the execution of her family at the hand of Nazi Colonel Hans Landa. Shosanna narrowly escapes and flees to Paris, where she forges a new identity as the owner and operator of a cinema. Elsewhere in Europe, Lieutenant Aldo Raine organizes a group of Jewish soldiers to engage in targeted acts of retribution. Known to their enemy as The Basterds, Raines squad joins German actress and undercover agent Bridget Von Hammersmark on a mission to take down the leaders of The Third Reich. Fates converge under a cinema marquee, where Shosanna is poised to carry out a revenge plan of her own

Had it delivered yesterday(Tesco pre-order+500 points)...still not sure what to make of it.A comedy spaghetti western set during WW2 :o
Probably needs more than one viewing.

Amazing film, although so many plot holes!!! Hope Tarantino will release a directors cut to fill in the gaps. Gripping, funny, stylish - everything you expect from QT.

getting pretty sick of people using the £1 voucher....i think we get the point there is £1 off one thing once. can we just stick to the price without the voucher as some people (me) have used the voucher. not voting either way but its getting annoying.

I agree, and I haven't personally used the voucher once. But this makes this disc the best deal so I posted.

I don't know why you would like to spend almost £9 on the same movie when tesco is selling this movie for £3 only. BTW this is another great movie from tarantino.

The one in Tesco is the original. This is his remake.

Daft and empty bloodfest. Brad Pitt with mouth padded out with cotton wool even worse than usual. Modern Spagetti Western it aint.

The one in Tesco was made during the 70's and is not the Quentin Tarantino version.

I thought that but you can actually get unlimited vouchers (it's only limited to the amount of times you text).

I've used it a few times with the same mobile number.

I got the Blu Ray for £9.99 though from Tesco:-D

I thought it was a bit dull tbh.

It was good, but the trailer is a wee bit mis-leading.

Fell for HMV doing the same £3 trick, really enjoyed the original though, great film. Got hold of this and there's very few similarities but again what an excellent film, really enjoyed it.

The front cover of the original (in a new sleeve no doubt) has Tarantino's name in big letters (because as it turns out he's done a guest interview on that re-release). Funnily enough I just saw the film name, the sign saying £3, about 50 copies on the POS and thought that must be it.

How could anybody have made that £3 DVD mistake?
The new version wasn't even released on DVD then!

As I said, when they've got a POS display with 50 odd copies on it, a fair few months after the film has finished in the cinema, you'd perhaps not be expecting such a display to contain an older film.

Still I presume you've never picked anything up by mistake when in a rush?

If it was £3 then there wouldn't have been "50 odd copies" (Because of everyone buying it)

Easy mistake to make, it's been posted a few times in the last few weeks. Especially with Tarantino's name on it.

So you wouldn't say that rather large sticker was done for marketing reasons then?
