Although its supposed to be from the 29th - they sometimes put stock out a day or so early....

Canon carts are expensive, it only costs 37p each for my Ip400 carts www.ink.co.uk and you can get a pack of 6x4 paper and 450 notes box for free with every order :)

Epson can be found far cheaper online but still gonna vote this hot as there are many who still prefer to buy things they can see and touch - not me :-)
#3
hmmm they cant tell u which?!

Buy them in bulk online viny.

There's many traders on ebay who specialise in cheap bulk with free PP. I can get 10 catridges for my C42 and CX3200 for around £10 delivered.

Amazon also offer free PP on certain items.

Their not branded but neither are the ones above I suspect.

The advantage of this is you don't have to buy in bulk or pay delivery charges and if they are faulty they are easy to return to the shop.....

If you are only after one or two then this is likely to be cheaper.

Why I voted this hot.

It suits some, I'm just saying its more economical to buy in bulk online.

thats what we are doing at the moment buying in bulk, but Im getting sick off loads of tiny little boxes everywhere, we did buy some off ebay once but they didnt work, think they had dried up..lol
so was looking for someplace local, might pop up there and take a peek.

I've had the same problem - bought about 15 from Ebuyer about 3 years ago - had a drawer full of them for ages.....

Heat added - a good price for a compatible cartridge.

HOWEVER: I want to buy genuine Canon CLI-8 cartridges, but they cost megabucks. Any ideas greatly appreciated! :)

lol,
My CX3200 has 2 B/W for £1.85 delivered on ebay atm. This is not the shop I bought from.

I usually get 'jettec' branded epson compatibles off of SVP, cost me less than £2 each http://svp.co.uk/searchresults.php?sSrch=jettec&Submit.x=0&Submit.y=0
#12
yeah have to say i do not think that this price is that great, i can get my brother cartridges for less than £1 a cartridge.

just type lc970 into ebay and you will find loads for around the £1 per cartridge range (possibly http://************.co.uk/inkshop24) and if you do not trust ebay (and personally i would as that where i get all my inks from) you could try the shops already mentioned but then you are probably looking at around £2.50 per cartridge.

Yes they are compatible inks rather than brother branded but so are the ones in this deal plus compatible inks are perfectly good for everyday printing, only time i would go to proper branded cartridges is for photo printing.

Hi

I usually use http://www.eezytrade.co.uk/.

If you ask for a quote and say you have been refer by Pete from Demon, he will give you better prices. The prices are low any but theres no harm in asking and its free next day delivery.

That is an excellent site. I brought 15 carts, 12 colour and 3 black, plus 2 cleaning carts, and the 2 free gifts you mentioned, all for £10.34 delivered :-D

Have some rep & thank you.

Heat also for the OP :)

I've also just bought the Epson PX700W and found the Epson compatible ink on www.ukdvdr.co.uk - anything from 60p - £1.50 a cartridge depending on your printer model. I think the PX700w were £1.21 each

I have also just bought the epson px700w (£122.05 delivered from amazon).
However I ordered a set of refillable ink cartridges prefilled with ink for £19 delivered and the ink can be bought in bottles for £25 (this is equivalent of 11 full sets of cartridges) so works out at around £2.25 per set !! Thats for the expensive ink if you are printing photos etc , the cheaper ink is more suitable for those who are just printing web documents etc and thats £10 for the same amount of ink (around 90p per set!!).
The ink has a shelf life of around 12 months once opened and refilling is a piece of cake , no mess and no cables like the css systems.
If you give the ink a shake every now and then the ink should last more like 18 months or more. Can't go wrong at this price , its the reason i opted for that printer (the px700w is awesome by the way!!)

Price isn't that great for compatibles and I bet it's a challenge to get the ones you'll need for your particular computer. Probably not available for recent models as the manufacturers keep introducing deterents to compatibles and it takes the compatibles manufacturers a while to catch up. Bear in mind that the printer manufacturers rely on ink to make their profits so they work hard to discourage competition.

I get 'Projet 'ones for my Epson from my local computer fair - £5 for a full set of six (vs about £18 each from Epson!) and I can buy a set at a time if I wish. They're not quite as good as originals (eg pictures fade faster in sunlight) but they're perfect for everyday use and they 've never let me down. Don't buy in bulk unless you use them very quickly as they will deteriorate with age. Always check the use by dates on the boxes and use well in advance. Don't store them in extreme temperatures.
