Sorry for the silly question....

Would this tube fit a non raleigh mountain bike?
#2
Shame they don't have mountain bike tubes with Presta valves or I would have gotten a pair.. still, for those who can, this is a hot deal.

WHAT? Where are the 'cold from me, £1 in poundland' posters?
#7
cold from me, £1 in poundland !

this might sound daft, but if these are £1 in poundland, why dont you cold voters stick them on here... ??? people are strange
#11
If your after decent tubes then I recomend Schwalbe tubes, I run 2.10 tyres in summer and 2.35 in winter, I use the same tubes with presta valves and I've never had a flat yet.

Just remember you get what you pay for and some tubes are made in china and very thin which will give you pinch flats more often.

Btw I mountain bike mainly off road and they get lots of abuse!

well they are probably bad ones in poundland not saying raleigh isnt bad but they are decent enough

Raleigh? Not the first brand I'd think of for tubes. Don't think this is as hot as people are suggesting, its ok I guess (they are £1.49 here + shipping) but I doubt they are as good as many other tubes that can be had for under £4, and probably not much better than the tubes that are about £1.50 at Tescos and Asda....

Quick Warning.. I volunteer in a bike recycling project who just bought a ton of these.. They universally hate them as they bulge in the tyre, puncture easily and aren't really much better than poundland inner tubes. The blue valve caps look quite schnazzy though.

I concur with the previous poster that schwalbes are much better,,, They are made out of wellie boots and rubber mackintoshes.. And they sometimes have seethrough valve caps.. double schnazzy!
#18
Please note, scwalbe inner tubes are not made out of footwear and rain protection ;)

I'm getting the impression that these are a great buy for leisure riders (or people with a herd of bike riding kids) but probably not to be trusted by the likes of Trail riders...

You'll see the fuss if your 30 miles away from home and the valve rips off or you get a blow out which is un-repairable with puncture kit :P

As said it's not bad as a spare but lets be honest the raleigh brand is for the more for the casual biker, if you take mountain biking more serious then trust me you'll be thankfull you've spent the extra on decent tubes.

I've learnt my lesson with cheap tubes so I'm just passing on good advice as a novice XC biker.

Poundshop = dodgy as possible rejects/seconds.
