Innis & Gunn is my absolute favourite tipple and the Canadian cherrywood is in my view the best they do. Tried this halfway through last year and haven't been able to get hold of it since, Aldi were doing them at Christmas but they flew off the shelves. So was over the moon when I popped in this morning and picked up a dozen. Anyone who loves their beer but hasn't tried this I urge to do so, the charm with them is that each batch is slightly different as the first one I tried came in at 8.3% alc./vol whereas this batch is coming in at 7.4. Yes is pretty strong but it's such an easy drinker and goes down like a smooth 4%. Hope this is of interest to hardened beer fanatics or anyone starting to open their horizons to more than just tennents and Stella. Thanks!

VERY nice beer :)
Almost as good as the winter porter they did.

Unfortunately my local has none left, yeah I may have bought a considerable number of them haha :p

Great drink! However ...

Was a Father's Day gift - ie have been in stores for a long time!

Also not quite a deal - ScotMid sell other Innis and Gun beers for £1.50.

Would recommend to anybody but has been in Aldi for weeks now and other very good beers from this brewery are cheaper.

I'm happy to pay extra for the presentation box (I'm sad and collect them) and I have not been able to get it anywhere else, plus the ones the supermarkets stock are usually the "generic" original and rum finish.

Yes it's possible to get others for £1.50.... but not this one?
I've never seen any f their limited bottlings or seasonals that cheap.

Seen this in Anniesland Aldi in Glasgow too

Good way to drink your sorrows away when you try doing it alone.

I found this too sweet for my liking :(

I saw these in East Grinstead (south) but, personally, didn't consider it to be much of a deal (small bottle of beer from Aldi, but at pub prices). Whatever floats your boat. Might get one, if not for the novelty box, but to see what all the fuss is about

Wow. Need to check the Inverness s stores tomorrow. I&G is my favourite also. Never tried this one, but looks and sounds amazing.

Hi - can I ask which Aldi in Dundee you found this in, there's two Dundee stores I think? Were there any left after you bought your dozen? This is one of my husbands favourite beers and I'd love to pick some up for him xxx

Waitrose have 20% off Innis & Gunn 330ml at present, they have Original, Rum Finish and also Toasted Oak. All for £1.43 each! No presentation box though...

Great beer, had it on draft in my local for a while.

Def national, been buying in my local Aldi for a while. They put it beside the wine for some reason though, so people keep missing it ;) advantage me!

Thanks for your help OP - I'm just back from there, managed to pick up a few of these, plus some other beers (they had quite a decent selection for a change), my husband will be delighted! I should be in the good books now :) There were around 10 left on the shelf when I left. Heat added, great find xxx

Yup that's how I've been able to keep buying! Normally only around 5 or 6 on the shelf though.

As a heads up you can also get these (without the box) on Tesco's "any 4 for £6" beer/cider promotion. I picked up a couple yesterday.

Yup, they had some in Inverness. Got 6 last night. Really nice beer. It is rather sweet so probably couldn't drink more than 2 at a time. May need to get some more today. Thanks for the post
