This IPA's intense hop character comes from a brewing technique to Innis and Gunn. We add hops 3 times during brewing, each one creating additional layers of zesty flavour and aroma. We then finish the beer over specially toasted oak to give it the rich, rounded character of authentic IPAs from the 1800s

Haven't tasted it yet, but the description sounds pretty good and @70p a bottle it's a no brainer !!

Fantastic price.
I'm not a fan of hoppy beers, but know a guy who does.

Great price, we visited the head office in Edinburgh for a tasting session last year and as I normally drink lager I wasnt looking forward to it but this was delicious

Innis and Gunn make some really nice beers, usually quite strong though so be careful :D have some heat

Possibly their tastiest beer in my opinion. Good find.

Awesome price.

Not a fan of hoppy beers but this is excellent, not just hops for the sake of hops.

The hops that matter for flavour are the ones added at the end of the boil and added after fermentation (dry-hopped), until Innis & Gunn learn that none of their beers will taste as good as say Fallen or Alechemy.

Going to try my local in a couple of hours so I'll report back. Doubt they'll have it to be honest.

It is actually the opposite, the hops added at the beginning of the boil are for flavour, the hops added at the end are for aroma.

Read the article "The Secret to Hop Aroma and Flavor" and that'll bring you up to date.

Btw I'd recommend tasting some real barrel aged beers and comparing them to Innis who just throw oak chips in.
