Looks like the cheapest price for a 1050 (not Ti) - makes the prices of some other cards look rather silly, anything over £50 for a card that just isn't in the same league.

PS. the 1050 non-Ti dukes it out with the GTX960 on GPUboss - the 960 scoring higher in games, the 1050 scoring higher in some other tests and using considerably less power

A great price on a low power card. This one only draws power from the motherboard pci slot and doesn't require additional power cabling.

There are better options for a desktop build which has enough power but this can be a good replacement if you have a prebuilt PC with limited psu like a dell PC or something similar, or certain laptops

hmm. I would be tempted given the power draw is lower than my current gtx 660. Maybe I should hold off thought and save the £99 towards a completely new build.

I wonder if it would work with a £120 LENOVO M91P THINKCENTRE 4480-B2G

For £220 it would be a good alternative to a console?

i suggest getting a desktop with a bigger case as the one you posted would only allow a low profile card to fit inside something like this - https://www.novatech.co.uk/products/components/nvidiageforcegraphicscards/nvidiagtx1050series/gtx10502gtlp.html?gclid=COHl65L1jNICFQ2eGwod39kHlw#utm_source=google&utm_medium=base&utm_campaign=products

If it helps (costs more), I've got the Gigabyte Nvidia GeForce GTX 1050 Ti OC 4GB, and it works flawlessly. Draws power from the MB, although recommended PSU is 300w, I've had zero stability issues. Getting some great gaming resolutions on the T20 with the Xeon. Mfr part code: GV-N105TOC-4GD

1050 isn't the sweetspot of the range.

Pay the extra and get the Ti, or the 1060.

Yeah, I know what you're saying but think longer term over the usable lifetime of the card and bang per buck. With titles like Star Citzen and Mass Effect coming out in 2017, you're going to want some extra grunt for games like that. A bit more spent now is going to save alot of frustration later with blocky graphics or chuggy framerates...

Just has a quick look to see to see what the step up would cost to the 1050 Ti 4 GB, it seems like it's worth the extra if you can find it for about £130 or slightly less even. It looks like the best deal is on Amazon for the 'Zotac GeForce GTX 1050Ti 4 GB Mini Graphics Card - Black (B01M8M5T4T)' which drops to £137 ever other day atm it seems. Also it has been on offer for ~£129 for most of December. Not in urgent need of it so I will see what the price is over the next few weeks.

Is there a 1060 that users PCI only?
