Nice deal for £12 a month! Only problem is if you want to use the phone to its full potential you'd really want the internet add-on.
#9

Ave you gone for the mix n match 300 - mines come out at £12.62 on mix n match 500
#17
Its a good deal, and I think I am right in thinking that the Inq1 can be used with threes skype service so with their recent announcement after the contract expires you could still use it as a free to use skype phone
#18
The deal actually works out at £7.62 over the 6 months with the refer a friend

although I already have 5 contracts with 3, I could refer myself and get both lots of £30 of refer a friend and effectively get this deal for nothing.
#19
yeah but to get it reduced to 12.62 you have to remove the internet max add on and are only left with the discount being applied for it no?

seriously- I can get it with internet max for £12.62
#21
I have followed your step by step and cannot get it for £12.62 with the int max! Are yo sure? I'm not being funny but the original deal was for without it! lol itwill show on your checkout process page, firstly your phone and pice plan @ £18 then it should say £5 monthly Internet max discount. then your admin charge for the price to be £12.62. If you have that then there is no max add on but if you don't and you have a box above the discount saying "Add Internet Max
Internet Max is highly recommended to get the best experience from this phone more info " and it still shows £12.62 then go for it! But I can assure you I don't get that! :(

can you please tell me what you did then, because im getting £12,62 with no internet.

A what point in the checkout process do you enter the refer a friend number? Since I got to stage 5 and couldn't see a box?

(clicked on already been recommended on https://www.three.co.uk/Pay_Monthly/Recommend_a_friend )
#25
jebervic you don't have max add on only the discount! :)
#26
I found that if you remove 'Internet Max' by clicking the remove button next to it, then it deducts £5 from the price but Internet Max still appears on the list. Maybe that is just a glitch though because I went through the process again and the second time it removed Internet Max and didn't reduce the price!
#27
Seems to be coming in at £17.51 now ???

Unfortunately there is no refer a friend cash for 6 month contracts. Only 18 month contracts included.

I went for the 300 mins one, used the gadget code then removed the addon to get it down to £10 (slightly less after vat change).

However email confirmation has come through as:
Handset Model INQ1 Black
Handset price £0.00
Price plan Mix & Match 300
Price plan cost £15.00 per month.

Which is not the £10 i had ordered it as! I'll confirm with them when the phone arrives and cancel if if they say otherwise.

But as you so clearly read, the confirmation given on the three page (image) is different to confirmation given in the email. :whistling: So it appears that the voucher is not being applied to the email confirmation (code works for both 300 and 500, yet not acknowledged in email).
#34
I did mention in the op that I doubted if they would honour it! I decided that I wanted the internet max add on in any case and just decided to pay the extra for the 500 mix and match! :)

If it turns out that the "glitch"/extra discount isn't honoured i'll just return the phone under their 14 day return scheme (less if you used the phone/sim) so shouldn't be too much of an issue.

I'm just wondering what other people that used the code and removed the add on got on their email confirmation compared to their three page...
#36
I got the same email. £15 plan on the email for the £9.62 price on the website.
#37
Does anyone know whether these can be used on normal 2G networks, i.e. can I get it unlocked and use my existing O2 sim (still in my trusty K750i)?

And after a short while the rear battery cover jams against the volume increase button making it go crazy with continuous volume tones and/or drains your battery down twice as fast.

Apart from that it's a great phone, but serious design flaw. The 3 shop I took it to said it's a fairly common problem and you have to refit the cover everytime it happens, which currently, is daily.

The INQ1 is basically the Skype3 phone, its name was changed as the last minute so they could focus on the Facebook feature instead as the main selling point.

Do you have a link to the (free on going after contract expires) Skype announcement?

Rang 3 this morning and they processed my phone at £9.68 per month and my Quidco tracked @£32.50 so if quidco pays it works out @ £27.53 for 6 months for the Mix and Match 300
