Inspirion 1525 -2.10 GHz, 2048MB 667MHz Dual Channel DDR2 SDRAM 250GB Hard Drive, Choice of Clours £498.99 Delivered
I bought this for my Daughter but increased the Ram from 2048MB to 4096MB and increased the Processor from 2.10 Ghz to 2.40Ghz which in turn increased the price from £498 to £599 and with the 10% Voucher on Dell Inspirion Laptops it brought the price down to £545. She should be well pleased......as I am with the savings
Please be kind to me as this is the first Deal I have ever posted........I hope I have got it right

I tried a different approach and added the 3 year warranty and Belkin Router. After selling the Router (£15) and Quidco (~£20) it comes to ~£513 which is pretty good for the spec with that warranty. Hot for me.

That's excellent news.......only wished I had done that. I don't know how to use Quidco......I think I tried to use it before on another offer (a long time ago) and if I remember correctly, they were asking to many probing questions eg. visa details etc, that I decided to give that one a miss. If it works for some people.......... then I say, go for it.
I suppose you didn't go for the extra memory and went for the extra warranty instead.
My Daughter is hoping to go to University next year to do Music Technology and requires the highest spec machine (I can afford) At the moment she has a Acer Laptop with only a 40Gb HD and 2mb of Ram............and is always moaning about the speed and the slowness of the machine. Hopefully this will tick all the boxes

Can I ask someone, why this deal isn't showing up on the main HotUK Deals it only seems to be appearing under Dell (Business Deals)........have I done something wrong in submitting it?
Thanks

why not try the new vostro 1510 ... great value for money... allows for a higher spec
and from what i have seen they look quite good

This deal has not reached over 40 degrees therefore isn't worthy :) .. yet

I think the Vostro isn't as good as the Inspirion but to be honest they are much of a muchness. My daughter wanted a coloured Laptop which isn't offered on the Vostro.
I see that this will never get to 40 degrees because I see someone has just posted the same offer.............nabbed it from me.....HaHaHa
Don't care as long as people get this very good offer

Sorry..........I got that wrong, that is a new offer posted and the offer is even cheaper by about another £50 and you get 3 yrs warranty..........why do Dell do that???
