What no dedicated graphics, i7 processor, 16gb ram and 3tb of SSD storage, for less than £300 this is rubbish.

Only kidding, not a bad price for a simple machine that most people would never use to its capacity anyway.

It's a single core celeron. HP has the CQ series for same price with Lightscribe DVD writer, better keyboard and excellent mouse pad.

Poss 10% quidco on these too

I bought my daughter one of these for christmas and to be honest the build quality is poor and the screen not great. It also gets really noisy when hot. I'm comparing this to a £350 base model Inspiron I bought 2 years ago before you ask and which is much better quality, though a fair bit heavier. You get what you pay for.

I have a lightscribe DVD recorder..used it twice in 3 years(_;)

But there are those that are in the Dell camp and those in the HP camp. I have been in both, and always return to the Dell camp as My Dell's keep plodding on forever. I use them at work and I haven't had one fail on me yet(batteries yes), but I have had 2 HP laptops in the family because it was a good deal, and both only lasted 2 years...and yes the HP laptops were low cost compared with low cost Dell's. Its difficult to compare these new Inspiron's as they are probably from China, but isnt everything..Only time will tell :-)

Dell outlet PC's are always cheaper than their offering on their main website this is nothing new! They are quite likely to be scratched or previously opened sometimes they are new, but more likely to be customer returns

But you have to be careful when ordering from the outlet as they have different rules regarding "Distance Selling" so you dont have the same rights

I am implying that dell outlet does not seem to such a bargain when the new item costs a tenner more and therefore not such good value. Hence the Dell outlet taking the **** comment.
