A very basic laptop, but cheap enough to be used as a backup computer or for the odd travel!

Personally I would never ever get anything containing Celeron, even for free (not voted as I dont know the price range for them).

There is nothing wrong with Celeron, it's a myth from the Pentium 2 days, and the performance difference clock-for-clock on Celeron vs. Pentium is about 5-10% (due to reduced cache and FSB).

However, in this instance, the Celeron 900 is a single core 2.2Ghz CPU and in this day and age you should never be buying single-core; dual-core is the absolute minimum and therefore at this price of £339, the unit is unfortunately massively overpriced - you would be doing yourself a massive favour by spending the same money on the Acer 5741Z at Saveonlaptops which is more than twice as fast with a next-gen processor, 1GB more RAM and a larger hard disk.

I got a dual core HP DM1 with 3gb ddr3 with built in HD graphics, it can run bbc i player and you tube hd and that was 280.00, this is cold
