Just visited the Beckton branch of Currys, and they had all their MacBooks dicounted by 10%

Hope that will help someone out - MacBooks are very rarely discounted - reckon they must be making space for the new models that are (probably) about to come out.

Sorry, not much more detail, was only in store for a few minutes. MAybe all Currys are reducing them?

No new Macbook's or Macbook Pro's due for ages yet.

The new models came out a couple of months ago. Hardly due a refresh yet (perhaps you are confused with today's MP and iMac updates).

Apple give 15% student discount on MacBook Pro's. Can't go too far wrong.

will be old macbooks they are on clearance now so can get they at a decent price however they are normally display models.
One thing to not currys do match student discount and knock 10% of the difference
just for a 13" for £840 current model as well

999(laptop price at currys) - 858(Higher ed price) = 142
10% of 142 = 14.20 thats the difference
142 + 14.20 = 156.20 add the difference and higher ed discount together
156.20 - 999 = £843.80 that what i paided well to be honest £845 but still alright, only downside is no itouch :'(
