Not a USB 2.0. Like buying a set of stone wheels for your car
That said, according to Amazon it's a fast write for a USB 2.0. Pays yer money, takes yer...

It is a good price, but I think MyMemory have been sneaky not to mention its USB 2.0 and no mention of speeds.

Unless its for files that don't change often, I personally would pay a few pounds more and get a USB 3.0 flash drive.

fFairly crummy, v slow even at smaller sizes .. filling up 128gb will take many hours... not sure the build quality will take much daily punishment, ymmv ....

Its 15quid and folk are complaining about USB2 lol
You do know your USB3 flash drive can barely max out a USB2's interface when writing to the drive........

And USB 2 flash drives are FAR slower than that. What's your point?

Depends on the drive, the USB3 drive I use writes at 190MB/sec, USB2 max's out around ~40MB/sec.

It's almost unethical for Mymemory not to indicate whether it's USB 2 or 3 (never mind the read/write speeds) for a drive of this size. USB 2 can be as slow as 10 Mbytes/sec read, 5 Mybyes/sec write on cheaper drives, which means you could spend 7 hours filling the stick! Anything 64GB or above really has to be USB 3 nowadays because if you're buying a stick that big, you'll be puitting a lot of large files on it and speed becomes important.

As someone else says, decent USB 3 sticks can and *do* max out your USB 2 interface, but if you're still stuck in the last decade and haven't got any USB 3 devices, then maybe you can justify buying this stick (which I suspect will be very slow even for USB 2 as people have said). Save your money and buy a USB 3 stick instead, so when you do get USB 3 devices, you'll get a big speed boost too.

I've had smaller capacity versions of the integral courier they were rock solid. But is this 128GB version solid and reliable?
#17
Funk them, it's £16.95 now

Haha, checked and it's £15.95 on their amazon and ebay shops. This £16.95 is a special price to sting the hukd slowpokes X)
