  Had one of these delivered earlier this week (not opened it yet though). Just noticed it says, under System Requirements, USB 3.0 port for SuperSpeed (USB 2.0 compatible, at USB 2.0 transfer speed), Windows XP/Vista/7, Mac OS X (10.2.8 ) and above (at USB 2.0 transfer speed). Does this mean only USB 2.0 speeds are attainable on Macs (even if they have USB 3.0)?
  
  I guess not. Says "Mac USB 2.0 only" on the back of the packaging as well, meh.

  I guess it would format FAT32 on a Mac using USB 3.0, but as my Mac is a 2007 iMac, I've only got USB 2.0 anyway.

  Read performance seems very good, but I can't say that 25 Mbytes/sec write for a USB 3 device is good at all - that's actually slower than USB 2 speeds :-( The 7dayshop USB 3 stick I got does around 83 read, 35 write in Linux (not sure anyone beat that speed in Windows :-) ) and I thought that write speed was pretty average myself.
