Cheapest on Amzon its ever been (they just matched Dabs I think), it's a cheap CPU but by no means not powerful enough for basic use. Very good reviews and seems worth it. Bang for the buck cpu.

How is this cpu for use in a media server? Just asking as was think of using it for just that and makes me think might not be ideal as your getting rid after 3 month. Thanks.

I got this one for an extra £17 ( I know, it's more than half extra cost) but hey, it's better.

I was really surprised with these kind of low range processors (considering the price), they are actually pretty decent.

This is a great deal if you want to start an "upgrade" for your pc to DDR3/LGA1150(haswell) sockets without spending too much.

Just make sure you get a good Motherboard (£100) + this deal + 4-8 GB RAM DDR3.

This will be a very cheap basic upgrade for around £170. You can then later on upgrade the CPU & Ram.

HEAT ADDED.

It has been fine using plex and xbmc no problems. I am only selling as I have got a i3 cpu now.

Well I don't think you need to spend £100 on the motherboard unless you plan to upgrade to a higher processor in the future. I'm building a rig for someone using this and gigabyte motherboard for round £45 and has everything they need. Even then with that motherboard you could chuck in an i7 if you wanted. Depends on motherboard chipset.
