This is my first submission, but it seems like a pretty sweet deal so I thought I'd share it. Overclockers UK have the Intel Core 2 Duo E4300 available this week only (while stocks last) for £82.24. That's nearly £30 off the usual price of this excellent dual core processor!

£30 off the usual price? Bit of a rip off normally then. Scan do it for £81.65 + delivery and that's their normal price.

Overclockers should have changed the company name to Rip-Offers better...;-)

Isn't the E6300 version better, due to the faster bus speed?

I know it's slightly more expensive.

not really also older mobo can take the e4300/4400 where they cant take the e6300

also some people find overclocking the e4300/4400 easier than the e6300

either way, at these prices differences the e6320 seems best value from ebuyer in the core2 catagory

E4300 is more overclockable assuming you have reliable enough components to do it (quality memory, good motherboard).

The E6420 is a better bet (4MB cache) if you're not into overclocking and want to increase the speed of applications such as Excel and Word.

Both good value at the moment unless you want to wait until August for the first quad-core price drops.
