This actually beat the Q6600 lol
Quad is mainly aim at people who do loads of multi-tasking. Not many softwares or games take advantage of quad cores. As for gaming the E8400 will easily beat Q6600 by along shot. Beside Q9300 is a better option than Q6600 in trem of heat, power and speed wise.

This will overclock really well, too!

Get the Quad it will overclock to 3.2 with no probs.

I also believe the free delivery for AVForum members has now finished.

the quads are very overclockable, and far more future proof and in an games where quad cores are fully supported(alan wake, modern rts games and alot of upcoming games) a quad will easily run circles around a dual.

Yes that when Quad become more main stream, by then Quad core would be cheap like £70. Also there a budget Q8000 45nm due release in Q3.

If you say so, but by the time quad core actually matters there will be better than a Q6600.

But stuff for now, not the future. It makes little sense. Sorry but without overclocking, this Cpu beats the Q6600 for most applications and games currently.

Yeah, but E8400 can over to 4.2ghz on air :-D
Anyway deal finish now, but £114.43 is still a good price at Scan. But you can pick up a brand new Q9300 for the same price on eBay:p
