Amazing processor this is, i have the E8400 and its superfast :D
#2
Aparently the E8500 can do 4Ghz+ on air !!
#3
More than that, the E8400 has got up to 5GHz with a decent Heatsink/cooling on air.
And seeing as the E8500 is clocked higher to start with...

I want one ! But nothing I do currently stresses my e6600, so I can't convince myself to buy one :(

I was thinking of E8500 + NorthQ Siberian Tiger you could get Uber performance for under £200 !
(scan have them on todayonly for £70!)

Jez, can't believe getting cold votes. This is at least £30-£40 cheeper than anywhere else.

It's getting cold because certain idiots on the site vote on things they don't have a clue about.

it's the same with all technology on here. Hot/cold means nothing when the voters are yokels.

Doesnt matter, theyre all sold out now :(

if you dont need it then just dont bother, i mean sure its cool to have it but it'll cost you in the long term.

I think Intel have price cuts coming very soon which will bump this down to the price of the E8400 as they’re introducing an E8600 at the top of the range.
