I agree. You could get a COMPLETE I7 kit (motherboard, DDR3 ram, I7 processor) for this price.

For those with a good 775 motherboard the quad core 3 gig 1333mhz at around £275 would be a much wiser option.

I can only agree with all the above. with the i7 now out this is looking like a stupidly overpriced piece of kit. They are going to have to make some huge price cuts to make these look attractive.

Definitely agree with the cold comments, with the performance the Core i7's offer this processor is now basically pointless unless at a very low clearance price.

Not a good deal with i7 out now.
