I'd rather buy it from a reputable retailer that has good returns when something goes wrong and its been on today only on scan less than that a few times without the game and I'd rather pay less for the CPU and have good customer service than a pants game that's useless unless you have a good GPU otherwise it will be no good to you anyway, cash back is not guaranteed so its not the best deal.

If you read the details you would see that its by voucher and it says from Intel so it will more than likely be any where that you buy it.

[COLOR="Red"]In the lead up to Christmas Intel have created a special promotion where, on selected Intel Processors, you will receive a Game Download voucher for Colin McRae's Dirt2 PC Game.

The promotion, which starts on 1st December 2009, will mean that when you purchase any of the processors below you will receive the Game download voucher with the product. The selected products are from the Intel Core i7 and Core i5 processor family.

cashback tracking is very reliable; http://www.topcashback.co.uk/dabs.com/

i've heard of people having problems with returns from most companies. have you had a bad experience with dabs? please let me know as i'll be ordering soon.
#3
the only other company i can find that offers the free game at the mo is overclockers. no mention of it at ebuyer, amazon or scan etc.
#5
Uh. What's wrong with Dabs? They're fairly reputable. Often have high prices, but I've never had any problems with them.
#6
Were dabs not bought by BT? (They share websites. If you go to http://www.shop.bt.com/ you will see Dabs, just rebranded. Same stock etc. Only you can't get the used stock from the BT site...)
#7
dabs and bt are one and the same i love dabs for used stock though got 3 top end msi p35 boards for £16 each a while back
#8
I don't think you should be put off by one bad experience, they have had thousands of sales.
They're a reputable company and I've bought quite a few things from there in the past - though I prefer ebuyer now (who also slip up sometimes).

Nice price, but I'll be waiting for the prices to go a bit lower til I invest in one of these!
Voted hot.

You forgot to add "Bah Humbug!" to the end.

Dabs are as reputable as you will find online. A very established company who've been trading for many years.

Dabs are excellent... and reputable, and as stated are now owned by BT.

I have ordered many times from them over the years, most recently last week, when i placed an order at around 4pm and it was with me the very next day! and that was free delivery!

Away from the who's the best dealer.........

point is,

This is a cracking good cpu for the money

Good deal, voted hot, but currently with the credit crunch, xmas and people wanting to stretch their wallets a little further, IMO, AMD FTW.

Not too bad but I just got an i7 920 for £170

You can also get an OEM i5 from ebay (brand new) for £120 (inc delivery)... you just dont get the fan and a retail box... the person selling them has quite a few.

Which means you have to spend extra on getting a Fan, which you may already be doing if you are thinking of better cooling for over clocking

How long did yours take to arrive. I opted for free delivery.

I used free delivery, and it came next day, brill service from my point of view.
I got my dirt2 code today, its done through Steam. Just enter the code in steam and it downloads.
I did have to email twice though asking them for it.

Showing as Shipped this morning. No email though. Do you know who they use to deliver ? Dispatch information indicates 'Shipped by Supplier'

I think it might have been parcelforce but not sure, i got a few things delivered at the same time from different companies and can't remember which one was from who. The other courier was citylink.

Was dispatched yesterday. Arrived today. Can't believe they used simple first class post. Not recorded or courier.

that is odd. mines should have arrived today but home delivery network have sent it to the wrong depot  should be here tommorow.
i also had a bit of a faff with dabs which delayed delivery. not great customer service, i have to say, but they did get it sorted.

Has anyone received and managed to redeem the voucher to get the Game ?

I've got he voucher code, but when I go to the Steam website, I do not find a location to put in the Voucher code. It keeps on asking for Credit card details.
#36
hi pav, if you open steam and click on 'my games' then on 'activate a product on steam' it will ask you to enter the product code. this is where you enter the code you got from dabs. it worked for me ok. good luck.
