Sorry OP, Aria at one point on black friday were selling the 4790k as low as 225 with delivery (though only once during the day IIRC), and the rest of the day i think it was at about 240 or so.

Almost everyone seems to have raised their prices on the 4790k since then but it still doesn't look a good deal even if it is the cheapest at the time being. With Broadwell coming out in the spring

Im sure Broadwell K has been pushed back to Q3. Which is why I just bought a 4690k, not worth the wait for 3% increase, and no guarantee it will be a good overclock cpu being 14nm, might be really bad due to the heat in a smaller area.

So this cpu is a good buy if you need the extra threads, will last for many years.

Lol, I should have said: INB4 someone says; TAAIM MACHEEN!

I'm (apologetically) explaining to the OP why he's getting cold votes, because it's frustrating when you post the current cheapest dead for a product and don't know why he's getting cold votes.

Still, if it makes you feel clever, keep shouting TAIM MACHEEN! :)

Just buy a Pentium g3258 and live with it until Broadwell. Don't believe the myth that 8 threads are actually utilized, in gaming at least
