Fair enough as the GPU is £600 alone, but only a 128GB SSD?

(yes i know there is a HDD too)

It's a good price if you add the cost of the components up, with them obviously making something on it. Of course you could build it yourself for cheaper.

Most modern games are massively more GPU than CPU dependant, so I'd still expect this to do pretty well as a gaming machine, though I would expect something a bit stronger yes, if I'm paying over a grand....

Not much difference when it comes to games that relies on GPU's. For browsing and watching movies then 6500 performs slightly better.

Ignorant, surely.

I'd be interested to know how much cheaper - are you able to spec something similar?

£1,034 - this is a more balanced system imo, but everyone has their own opnion ofc

The 6400 is more like a 4 core i3 than a true i5, it will get the job done but realistically a 6500 is the minimum I would personally go for.

Anyhow I would wait for Zen which comes out pretty soon, even if it's not as good in comparison to Intel chips, AMD will most likely price their line up competitively forcing Intel to at least make some changes in pricing.

Agree, at 4k on many titles this CPU will bottleneck. also I can't see what the mobo is. if it's not z170 then there's no option for a future k-series upgrade.

6400 doesn't even meet the minimum requirements for Battlefield 1 so I don't really see the point of having a 1080 for a weak cpu, it will bottleneck.

That i5-6400 is definitely going to bottleneck you in games where more of the CPU is utilised, e.g. GTA V, as I had exactly this problem with mine and a 980TI.
