What relevenace do you think this has? It's all over their forums, on their website and the date and time of the sale has been announced for about a month?

Excellent price , heat added.

So tempted, but... i am still pushing my old 8 year old system with i7 920 to 4.2ghz, few usb3, 12gbram 2200mhz and I am pretty happy. Not sure if £500 will make massive difference.

Wasnt this a lot cheaper before christmas

The deal was different (see description) but the price was similar, apparently due to rising component prices which others have noted in various different posts:

Please note the cooler dosent come with fitting instructions

Could anyone help me? I know a bit about computers but not too much and I'm looking to basically get a new pc, was looking at getting this, but would it be worth paying £90 more for this? (£90 with changing to 16gb corsair ram), I had decided to go with an i5 6600k but seems the price on this deal is quite good since the water cooler for the cpu and the i7, anyone know? :)

It's tricky, I mean the mobo is usually about 200 and the cpu about 300 so it's kinda like you get the cooler and 8gb free which is pretty good.

If you don't need a top end mobo and cooler then this deal loses some of its appeal.

Also worth pointing out the same deal was available on Black Friday with 16gb ram.

Noted earlier in the thread.

Designed for overclocking, and you get help from them to do this. I think this is a cracking deal.

Page states out-of-stock but they say in the forum thread to order regardless as that's a glitch in their system.

The best deal was before christmas but they said they were going to repeat the same deal on the 28th but they didnt stick to what they said and changed the deal and put up the price shows you cant take them for there word.

What do you use the pc for ?

just gaming really, think i'm gonna stick with the i5 since i dont need an i7 at all and i most probably wont overclock so wont need the water cooler

If you check PCpartspicker, the best you can get that CPU and mobo for it £492 (both from Aria PC).

So considering the ram, watercooler and such for next to nothing. Good deal. I am tempted but just bought a half decent laptop a few months ago....

With it having a water cooler you have to check if your case will take it because not all cases can so thats another exspense.
If this was the same deal as the one before christmas it would of been a steal. There is new kably lake coming very soon so they have to clear old stock ready for new tech so they got a good deal off asus and intel. Even with the discount overclockers are still making a good profit as there not doing it out of the goodness of there hearts

YipI been tracking 5 builds since august and other then gf cards there is almost no price difference. I may get this myself - just wanted 3200 ram.

Good deal, wish I had seen the Christmas one or bought some DDR4... Maybe next years but have some heat anyway.

If your case is that bad you can't fit a 240 AIO then maybe it's not the deal for you. Someone seems to have a chip on their shoulder about Overclockers...

Not surprising considering it's an OEM cooler. In the overclocking thread for this bundle there are some instructions for installing the cooler.

Buy an used Xeon x5650 if your mobo supports it and you'll fly again! http://www.pc-specs.com/cpu/Intel/Xeon/Xeon_Processor_X5650_/2111/Compatible_Motherboards

I was gold by someone at OC that they'd alert me when the bundle becomes available again, I wasn't... So they just lost a loyal customer since 2010.
