The 2 year warranty degrades over 2 years. 1 week before the warranty runs out on a £300 item the warranty would be worth £25 (that was an example, not 100% sure how much is degrades by)

Bare that in mind when buying.

Full warranty is only for 6 months(item replacement or full refund) after that time is only refund of current market price(obviosuly Cex website price that with OOS could be as low as 30 quid easily.) .
Don't know about any degrades

If you look at their pricing for older out of stock Core i7 K series chips they are closer to £150 to £200 than £30 unless you look at the 5+ year old ones which would be out of warranty after 2 years anway if bought as close as these are to release date.

Than they must work out current price in different way(buy in cash price?maybe )

i purchased a 6700K from CEX last month for £250, it was dead on arrival but they exchanged it without any issue, 2 year warranty is very handy. you wont get that on ebay!

They actually state:
"After 6 months any refund will be to the current sales price or the original price (whichever is the lower)."

Showing as £220?!

I don't understand why this is being voted cold. I saw the last deal posted about these and took the plunge on a used i7 from CEX. It came in double packaging (one padded envelope inside another) and has worked flawlessly since I installed it a few days back. BF1 now runs 80- 120 fps, no frame dips. Absolute bargain.

Because this site is bipolar as f**k. Even though this was posted, and was voted hot before.

How does shipping work on this exactly. The only stock they have is nowhere near me, do they ship from the store directly to me or something?

Not all stock is available for delivery as is the case here where they have 3 in stock at 2 stores and none for delivery.
You can search CeX for stock only available for delivery which is handy. Their search is a bit hit and miss I've found so play around with it.

Why would you buy a CPU from CEX surely people take their processors there because they have something wrong with them and little chance of any come back..

Also with processors you don't know how they have been treated, could have been massively over voltaged and running hot.

Damn thing is still out of stock. Traded in a whole bunch of stuff to get one of these. All I have is an empty motherboard

the i7 I bought is going great, and even if it hadn't - it was covered by return/warranty- risk free really -
absolute bargain of a deal if you got one

Finally got one. Although price is now £235. Still £100 odd less than new.
