#4
Its worth a shot Think even PC world do it at the same price as they are the same company
#5
Wow great find!
#6
Sweet !

Amazing find but none around Yorkshire or North West. Unlikely to find many around now.
#8
how to check with local store?
#9
Scorching if you can find one. Wouldn't count on it though tbh. Still, heat added.
#10
none anywhere near Reading. Since it's a '97' it's clearance stock with no more coming in.. probably none left anywhere.
#11
Local store won't pick up the phone! :viking:

the one on gentlemans walk is a currys digital, not that it should matter, they are all the same.
#13
wow. I thought I got a good deal when I got this from PC world for 99.97. Very good CPU. Clock for clock, very slightly slower than i5. Overclocked to 3.3GHz with no vcore increase and very stable. Get this with an arctic freezer pro (got mne for £15) and you'll have a flier. Even at stock clocks it runs every game very well.
#14
couldnt locate any around the woking area! none in guildford, farnborough even birmingham!
#15
let's be honest, a lot of staff will pick this up for themselves and when us customers enquire they'll probably start giggling!
#16
what kind of motherboard would this need? any good cheap ones out there??

thanks

Anyone who manages to get one of these will be very lucky. When did the OP purchase this?

Noticed on the ticket - 25/11/09. Called up a Currys who've confirmed the product code, but is at £9.97 - but no stock anywhere.

There's the Gigabyte GA-G31M-ES2L (Micro ATX) on Amazon for £29.38. It was on HUKD a few weeks ago too.

I can confirm KayeeEn's post. Just rang Curry's, was at £9.97!! Had to get her to say it twice, what a price for a decent quad core. Nowhere near torbay left tho :-(. Spose it wasn't going to last long at that price. Shame. But nice find OP!

First post on HUKD woop :)

haha Q6600 fanboy. If you overclock the Q9400, that will smoke the Q6600. Ooooh, so much more cache. But still the s***** 65nm process with mega powerconsumption. In every respect, performance, price and power consumption, Q9400 pwns Q6600.

If you have that attitude, I'm not suprised they said no even if they did have stock, you charming individual, you.

Even so, you don't seem to be able to spell, let alone fit a processor.
#34
the price has gone now to £9.97 out of stock nationwide
