I bought one of these instore at Westfield today for £25 down from £39.99. Very impressed so far, seems a nice portable DAB/FM Radio Battery and Mains operated. Just thought about getting a 2nd one, checked online and the Claret coloured one is only £17.99!

If you're lucky and get a reasonable signal then they are OK. DAB will never compete with internet radio though, every big player but the BBC has started to pull out already.

Worth getting DAB for 6music alone

I have a DAB radio but I have to use it in FM mode.

When I try it in DAB mode the reception is terrible. Quite a common problem with these radios I believe.

Is this only FM stereo through the headphones?

Looks a good deal for a DAB 'Tranny' though...
#14
I love my DAB radios, this looks a cracking deal

I bought this model of radio some time ago, in one of the supermarkets i think. I took it straight back. I thought it was rubbish.... tinny sounding speaker and a very weak tuner with the dreaded bubbling mud on most DAB stations.
Bought a Pure One Classic which was immeasurably better in every way.
Although i still feel that DAB has been a bit of a fail that we've all been conned into buying.

dab has not catched on as all mobiles and stereos only have fm. I dont get the idea of dab radios with 1 speaker.

;), should i order one for my grandma as a bithday gift this year?

HMV sent me a mail today cancelling the order:

"The suppliers have told us that this item is now discontinued, as the manufacturer is no longer producing it.

We're sorry if this causes any disappointment. We always try to keep our catalogue as up to date as possible, but it can take time for us to find about discontinued titles."
