I always wonder about reviews slamming products but not saying why. For 10 quid this is worth a try. After all this is only a gadget. hot.

Tried a similar cheapo one that my friend bought, damn thing made me nauseous.

idealworld were selling these at £24.99 for two plus p&p and that was their pick of the day. when I say selling boy were they over selling them. I might be wrong but virtual reality is really stretching the parameters of these things. Surely 3d glasses is more apt.

The one in Homebargains for £5.99 (already posted) is really good if you're looking for a cheap way of trying VR :D

I bought one similar from Home Bargains few weeks back for £7, read all the negative reviews on how it ruins your first experience of VR but thought at that price it's worth a punt. I have to say, although not true VR, they are brilliant for what you're paying. Great few Google cardboard apps out there that work and also apps that split the screen allowing to watch any video from sites using the headset. There is the lack of an action button on mine (not sure about this one) which means some apps are pointless but I find waving a small magnet near the headset does the trick.

You are WRONG so so Sooool WRONG. VR doesn't have to be interactive at all.
It's just needs to submerge you in video. Making the video feel virtually real! (Virtual reality?!)

There are apps on Cardboard that allow you to walk around a VR environment. You can stop, start, walk up stairs etc. Its not fully interactive, but its a great introduction to VR. For £10, you aren't really going to do any better.

Does this particular headset have the action button like cardboard?

Just purchased one of these and its a bargin for 10 quid. Took a bit of figuring out but works with any google card board type app or vid. It dosnt come with a QR code or magnetic switch but you can purchase a Bluetooth controller very cheap. lenses seem to be really good and quality is good. Bit plasticy but what do you expect for the price. Its better than cardboard and the strap and padding are comfortable. Good bargin. Im searching for the QR code to calibrate it to the device so if anyone finds one please post. the standard google cardboard one seems to work fine though.
