a hard drive. :p

I can't find any details on the web. All I know is it's 7200rpm and 8MB cache or better. Don't know if it's SATA or IDE. But I would expect more likely to be the former.

Why is this such a bargain when you can get a drive that's 3x the capacity for a little over double the price @ £90...

damn I do not know if I should buy this or not, I was going to get a 1TB for £60 ish even though I will not need that much it would cover me for the future, just wondering should I get 1TB or 500GB now hmm, this price is very good but at the moment I am tempted by the 1TB

I can afford it, just like to feel like I got a deal or my moneys worth, usually when I buy something it's twice as cheap a few months later :P haha

but 1TB for £60 is good so will go with that one, also didn't realize you could make your own by buying enclosure and hard drive separate but it didnt work out any cheaper so I shall just buy the 1GB one.

Thanks.

EDIT: that was to scotty boy, I forgot to quote :P lol

No probs mate - you might want to post it as a deal, if it's not already listed...just a thought.

Go for the 1TB one mate, I bought a 640gig one and thought I'd never fill it. Now I'm looking for something else:cry:

Hmm not sure if it is posted and the first time I made a post people had said there always on there (a ps3 on buy it there) so it has put me off posting now lol, especially when I actually used the search on here to see if there was some matching deals and it found none, was a bit of a bummer.

It's an amazon one, I see 2 of them on here now but not the £60 price, I think it's £61 something, but the rest are higher price, not sure if I should post it

That's a great price. Is the HD mains powered, or is it just run off of USB? Thanks :)

It will be probably be external mains powered I'm afraid - it's more the 2.5" hard disk models that can be powered off of USB.

Cheers, Scotty Boy!

Always buy what you can possibly afford, if you think you actually need 500GB then you'll definitely need more storage at some point in the future....
#17
also availiable @ Laskys , which is Comet but the Website is nicer :)

Hot deal for me, may be more per gb than the 1TB deals but personally I would rather buy two of thes and mirror them than get a 1TB and lose all my data if it fails as I don't need 1GB of storage,
