Any clue on the brand of drive inside?
#3
They tend to be Seagate Barracuda's in the 500GB and 1TB units.

Other posts seem to point to the 1.5TB Prestige being a Samsung. (Possibly Samsung HD 154 UI)
#4
I think they are Samsung F2 drives
#5
http://www.ebuyer.com/product/166989 - This is supposedly the drive inside.
#6
Ah okay. Bit too much to hope for the F3, eh?
#7
so can I still get the 10% discount if I go in store??
#8
Is this make better than the western 1tb at £60 one?
#9
I've got one my desk right now from a previous PC World £89 deal a few months back. Well made and has A POWER SWITCH, unlike may other brands which expect that you always want it on when the PC is on.

Might get another!

These Iomegas have relatively expensive aluminium cases which aid cooling and tend to protect the internals better so they tend to last longer than the flimsier plastic ones.

I think the WD is plastic, but you'd better check.

All four WD drives I've used have been plastic casing.

Code no longer works. Looks like they expired it early.
