Will probably get flamed for it not being value against some generic Android tablet - but to be honest for the kids/elderly show me an easier device to use!

Good for a second device also!

It's only good for basic browsing and watching videos if I'm totally honest but isn't that what dual core Android tablets are for?

Best to mention this is a refurb on iOS5

Is there any cheaper iPad 1's about that I can return if I'm not happy with the condition?

Serious question if there is, where?

Good luck speaking to their 20p/min overseas call centre then when you do.

Had one of these & overall prefer iPads, the same price android equivalents are much better now.

I would spend slightly more for iPad 2 rather than get this model.
Many new/updated apps require a higher iOS version and a camera is nice to have for sharing photos or for facetime.
It's also a bit on the heavy side.

For kids and the elderly ??
Why do the elderly want outdated kit?

And my bet is most kids know better!

ipad 1 came out 2010. So the lithium ion may still have a bit of life left. The RAM is 256MB and it is iOS 5 only. So think of it as good enough for uses like it was a few years' ago.

This is not a good deal! New mini's often come up under £200, much better deal than this!

Unless it's an official Apple refurb and has a new official Apple battery in it........... Which I doubt these do!

Not to mention stuck on old OS, low RAM, few hardware features, heavy etc.

At maybe £50-60 would vote hot but £100 is just too much.

The biggest problem is that it only has 256mb ram, 50% less than the iphone 4.

Ok I saw this on the TV and I don't think its worth it it's a refurb unit apple no longer support this model with software updates and most developers will or have moved away to optimise their apps for this model. You could probbaly pick it up cheaper with a little look around the Internet

Gave my old one to my 2 year old daughter and she uses it daily. She mainly uses it youtube which works fine but even she moans its slow at things lol.

true but then again, it's on ios 5 instead of ios 7 so i guess less ram is needed
