you can only get the 16gb 3G for this price from apple
£499 refurb - 12 months warranty
choice is yours I guess....
If people genuinely think Argos repair broken iPads, or Apple send them refurbs then they need to check in with reality! :) At most they will reinstall iOS, give it a clean and stick cellophane back on the screen.

Yeah, looks like you needed it judging from your avatar..!
The iPad, plugs, etc did not come wrapped up in cellophane like an apple refurb one, but was in a polythene bag taped over with Sellotape.
3G on the iPad is a bit of a difficult call. Strictly speaking many phone tariffs do not allow wifi hotspots, however I have used mine and never been pulled up on it. Also Mifi devices offer similar functionality. Finally I think it is impossible for the iPad to roam outside the uk without changing to local provider sims. However for mobile browsing simplicity within the uk having 3G as a built in option works very well.
Overall verdict: although the 'unboxing' experience (so popular on YouTube) was somewhat disheartening (and not the experience apple would like you to have) the fact remains that saving £160 off an ipad2 is significant for the sake of a scruffy box - certainly until the ipad3 becomes mainstream.
The product appears to work perfectly so far and I hope it remains so - otherwise off to Coventry it goes. :(
