Maybe i do not need such a long-term guarantee think about the price difference ,and i'm not a heavy user.(_;)

This will likely get cheaper in the coming weeks. I'd bet another 149.99 deal pops up eventually so it may be worth holding off.

Or could be expressed as around 60% more...

I ordered this for £134 (£149 minus £15 off code) on black friday from Tesco. They didn't deliver. 2 days after they cancelled my order due to no stock, they brought more to stock from £199, now £169. Get from JL if you can.

Don't upgrade to ios8 if you buy this model. Keep it on ios7 otherwise it will **** it up.

I wouldn't waste your money on these any more, the hardware is so slow now that it'll just be money down the drain.

£134 is a good price to pay. Although nothing comes close to the IPad (my first apple device :)

If this is not the retina version then it's not worth buying - screen quality is too poor on iPad mini 1.

i agree this messed my iPad mini up,freezes ,crashes, does'nt let me use my apps, yet when you contact Apple they won't do anything about it. I wish I Never downloaded it.
#17
i wont bother with this.

Cheap compared to previous prices but the resolution is too low for an 8 inch tablet! Definitely get the mini 2 if youre wanting to stick with apple! Otherwise any full hd android tablet is better than this!
#19
Good price but isn't a patch on the mini 2 , and 16gb isn't enough . 32gb is the minimum requirements ,

Finally a realistic price for an IPAD !!!!!

Depends on the user. My mum uses an iPad Mini 2 16GB and the only thing she has downloaded is Threes, Facebook and Candy Crush. Extra space would be wasted on her. Granted she could do all that on a cheaper Android tablet, but she's used to iOS on her phone and has everything synced via iCloud. 16GB isn't enough for me though, I have a ton of games.

I'd rather have my sansung tab 8.4s over my wife's ipad any day. faster and higher resolution better screen

The deal is okay, but please, no-one buy this. Get a refurbished or second hand iPad mini 2 -- the technology inside it is a full TWO years newer, because the mini 1 was old tech even when released. They're much faster, don't have to reload apps all the time because they ran out of memory, etc. I have both a mini 1 and a mini 2, they're incomparable and the 2 is worth the extra few quid several times over.

Drop them an email via their contact us section or give them a call - their email response it damn quick too - I did it a number of times - each time reply within an hour - thats impressive when they must be reeling under the festive season sale pressure.

I agree, keep it on iOS 7 as ios 8 makes it run really sluggish, my old iPad mini is running sweet on ios7. But my ipad2 was ruined after I upgraded the thing to ios8. Great bit of kit tho and well worth it
#26
My Ipad2 went slow as anything on IOS8, I wiped it and re-installed everything individually and it made a huge difference, still a bit slow but miles more useable.

This 1st generation Mini is a shrunken iPad 2 which was itself launched almost 4 years ago with iOS 4.

Buying the dregs of old Apple devices is a false economy, just like the iPhone 5c with its 2 year old internals.

The new iOS take up too much space and processor power for older models, actually even newer 16GB models !!!

16gb is pants

If this is an i-Pad mini 1 then forget it as the display is pants.

Even the Ipad Mini "Retina" is outclassed display wise by most upper market Android tablets of similar size.

As has been said this is a good price for an Apple product. But my beef is why pay more for an Apple product when competitive products do it just as well on a better display at a lower price?
