Pretty good deals, except that £30 is the minimum contract.

This seems to be the one thing that they haven't included. I can't see it anywhere.

Thanks.

good deal this have some heat, im with 3 but have to wait till november for an upgrade
#7
considering the iphone needs pretty much constant internet connection, i dont think id take one on 3. Their reception is way behind all the other providers.. even after their retro 80s advert claiming otherwise

Are you serious? Three have the best 3g network in the UK with speeds upto 2.8mb, voted by 4 independent sources (Broadband Expert, Mobile Choice, What Mobile and Top 10 Broadband.

Seems like the best deal around I reckon.

Does anyone know if they are still going to offer the free 3-to-3 calls and free skype with these iPhone plans. If so then it's definitely a killer deal.
#12
It's not unlimited free 3-to-3 calls, they're limited as in the plans above.
#13
5000 3-3 calls is pretty much as unlimited as you're ever going to get

(would there be 80 quidco back to?)
#14
Agreed.

Is it me though or the jump for the SIM only contracts from 15-25 is a huge jump in mins.

Seems like there should be a another option at £20?

I'm going to stick up for Three here too. I've been with them for about 4-5 years, was a bit wary at first but I honestly don't have any probems. Maybe its just here in Essex but even out of town I get 3g, its rare I don't get any connection. I'm at the end of my contract, was going to leave to get a Desire on T-Mobile but really because of the 3gb allowance. If Three do me a good deal I'd stay though... They say the customer service is the bad thing, I agree, but the fact is I only call them every 18 months and they generally do a great deal (except my deal 18 months ago for an N95 8gb sucks lol). And I wish they didn't put the logo/software all over the phone too!

I'm not saying they're the best network but I think they're still tarnished by how they were when they first started operating...

£30 x 24 months + £99...... sounds a bit hefty....£820.....

but you do get shed loads of minutes....so good for big users !

i think il stick to tesco, length of contract is whats swinging it for me !

Seriously thinking about this deal as I have heard a lot about the iphones not too familiar with internet use pricing. This price includes 1gb is that not a lot internet use then????
#19
i'm gonna stick up for 3 as well, i get excellent full HSDPA reception in rural Aberdeenshire (my missus has vodaphone, my neighbour O2, both have to do the window balancing-act thing to get a signal..)

and, if you fall for the whole iPhone being revolutionary BS, this actually looks like a decent deal too :)

Does anyone know how much 1GB a month is for comparison? ie how many 3 minute movies can you watch on you tube for that?

1GB is roughly 30MB a day. Maybe 10 3min clips a day? I would say around that as an estimate(For normal quality, not HD)

Three's prices are certainly looking particularly competitive, for example: if you're after a 32gb iPhone with more than 500 minutes. The 24 month contract costs more than £100 less than O2 over the course of the contract.

24 months.....cold in terms of comparing the others if compared to 12 and 18 month contracts but I suppose if you want to lock in to 2 years this is hot for that.

Probably worth updating post title to include contract length as a little bit misleading...

32 gb £189 up front.

£30 per month for 24 months.

Total: nearly £1000

Bloody hell, more money than sense those buying this! £500 a year for a mobile phone!

I've just been on the phone to 3 as I'm an existing customer. I was told that they are still negotiating the contract prices with Apple. I pointed out that they have already posted the the prices online and she said they are going to be reviewed in a few days time. So I'm a bit weary of those prices now!
#28
Tesco deal seems better?
#29
Seeing as a few people are sticking up for 3, I'm going to have to do my bit to slate them. I have found with 3 that I have had awful customer service, the reception is generally bad wherever I am in the country, and worst of all, their 3 software they load up onto phones is the worst of all the networks, making phones slow and making my particular phone crash all the time. Also, you can't use a 3 sim in a non-3 phone, which means you are stuck with it. I am with 3 at the moment and can't wait for my contract to end, would never use 3 again. I would not recommend signing yourself into a contract with 3 for 24 months.

I think that might refer to

I'm an existing customer, but not at the end of my contract - what are my options?

Depends on exactly what you're after. If you don't mind being tied in for 24 months, then Three works our quite considerably cheaper, especially on the 32gb iPhone
#33
24 months is too long especially if you want the latest iphone every year!

The Tesco 12 month contracts make more sense especially in terms of resale value of your iphone.
#34
£820 just for a mobile phone?!

The world has gone mad.
#35
What about Quidco £80 cashback, anyone know if it applies to the iPhone 4?

I know this question was asked on the first page but seems to have been ignored/missed.

#36
tesco deals are better, have a look at their website or go instore. they are in partnership with o2 so reception won't be bad.

i know, the price has put me off...i have an iphone 3g 16mb.....its fine and had it nearly 3 years but out of contract and on a 30 day contract at moment for £20/mth 600 mins......to get the new one id have to spend £40/mth for an 18 mth contract plus £200+ for the new one......some of the cost will be subbed by selling my current one though but yeh its getting back to the old days of expensive contracts
#38
i dont want one as i dont like them, BUT from what i have seen this is the best contract
#39
Well done, three!, knock other companies down

So how much is the phone on the SIM only deals?
