  I got one of these for jokes last year and using my phone on the train it was very funny seeing some of the double takes people took looking at it as it lay on the table in front of me!
  
  As for protecting your phone in a drop. Well, better than nothing I guess but it wouldn't be great at looking after it. The worst thing about it for me was that being rubber it produces quite a lot of friction so everytime I pulled it out of my pocket, it brought the lining with it. That got to be very irritating, very quickly!!

  These are kinda flimsy and in a tight pocket it is likely to come off both when putting it in your pocket and removing it. The best case for the iphone i've managed to find so far is the speck pixel hd one. its rubber but much more harder, so it won't fall off your case as easily as this one does.
