According to Three:

'We’re calling it All-you-can-eat Data, and it’s not like anything you’ll see from anyone else. Unlike other data plans, there are no restrictions and no crafty ‘fair usage’ policies containing hidden data caps. We’re leaving behind the ‘old mobile’ world of limits and allowances in favour of a new world that gives you the freedom to use your smartphone to do everything it was designed for without the worry of cost.

Our new world has no data restrictions, you can use as much as you want and we’ll never charge you a penny more.'

I had an email from 3 yesterday saying you can get the iphone with 3 on this deal for £59. I'm at work at the mo so I can't click the through to the link (it blocks the page) but here's a link to the email (i might be of help, if correct) -

I wonder if i can change my current £30 a month 24mth contract to the £35 one so i get free internet?

I always have to keep an eye on my usage as i work away from home & dont always have wifi to connect to, this would be much better as i could sit & watch freeview whenever i wanted!

Going to give them a ring tomorrow i think.

Until someone rips the total backside out of it and they realize its not cost efficient... We'll see how long it lasts...

If its a contract, are they not stuck to giving you what they said?

Cant sign you up for 2 year deal, then 3 months in say, actually, we're capping it at 1gb a month?

Yes they can but in their terms and conditions there willbe a get out clause for you as it is not what you contracted yourself to.

I get 3GB a month from T-Mobile for £7.50 a month. £35 a month, even if unlimited data, sounds extortionate on a 24 month contract compared to my 12 month one I got from this website!

Going up £5 so you can get free internet.. it wouldn't be free would it, it would be costing you £5 extra which over 24 months works out at and extra £120 just for internet!
#18
Cool, didnt know that. After reading the 3 blog there seems to be a slow down on download speed once you get over the usual 1gb limit, which is a bit naff. Will give it a week and see if they resolve this before i decide to pay an extra £5 a month.

Also, paying £5 a month extra so i can use unlimited internet is a pretty good deal imo.

These kind of deals appeal to some, but not to others, its just what you decide is a good deal.

Okay, I didn't get an IPhone, mine was just a sim card. I have no idea if this is a good price for an Iphone 4...but it sounds like expensive if it's for the internet usage. Good point mantamark

good signal with 3 at my home address which is more than I can say about o2 which is dire, good areas and bad areas with all the networks I guess.

If you work yours out over 24 months and add in the price of an iPhone your total monthly price is £9.60 cheaper than this deal. Do you get near the allowances? Granted you may not need them, but this is a cracking deal for people that do want a lot of allowances. Just putting things into prespective which is something a lot of UKHD don't seem to be able to do.

I got the email as well about it being £59. Best to phone them and say you got an email stating it as online deals can be different to instore.

Also 3 apparently has the best 3G network out of all the providers.

They've always let me up my tariff when required. It's when you want to go down you have problems so you should be ok. I was thinking of doing it myself.

Shouldn't be a problem - I'm pretty sure they are fine with going sidways or up in the pricing structure

Ive just joined three on the next tarfi down which is fine for me..

Just to let everyone know that you can get anything from £59 - £100 (i think) through quidco, and if you dont have quidco and you know someone already on 3 they do a 'join your mates' scheme where you both can get credits against your future bills.
http://www.three.co.uk/three_co_uk/Join_your_mates

Just on another note i was buying on the 3 website and had a question, spoke to someone on live chate and they gave me a code for £20 worth of accesories, unfortauntely i didnt use it as didnt want to risk my quidco of £59.

Oh ive also spoken to their 'foreign' call centre twice now, and they have been fine, as this seems to be the oingoing gripe with 3 i have read about!

Actually 3 did announce publicly a month or so ago that they would no longer have a fair usage policy and are even allowing tethering. Iphone is still way overpriced though. free on a £25 a month tariff and £30 pm for a 32gb would be about right, but the networks will never learn until people stop signing up to these extortionate contracts.

I think you'll find they will get more than just the internet for their £120.

3's signal is fine :)

As well as their own masts for 3G, they also have the use T-Mobiles, and for 2G signals, they also have the use of Orange masts :D

This deal was signed before the Orange/T-Mobile agreement, it is hoped that they will soon have the use of T-Mobile for 2G and Orange for 3G.

No Fair usage with 'The One Plan' from 3. :D

3 are currently the only UK network to offer this.

Don't forget the 'Free Tethering' with this tariff!

Other networks usually charge around £15 per month for this on top of your standard line rental!
