iPhone 5 on 3 network 500 min 5000 texts unlimited data @carphone warehouse £99 upfront £25 monthly 24 months = £699.00

silpssilps

UPDATE May 3: The deal now has double the minutes to 1000min.

I think this is the cheapest deal ever for an iPhone 5. Follow the link for the full details.

This thread is not for iPhone haters, go out and enjoy the sunshine, we all know you can't afford one so have to rant about it on Apple deals.

If you can find a cheaper iPhone 5 deal then please post as I am thinking of getting this one.

Also, possible £80 Quidco cashback from Carphone Warehouse.

Update now back to 500mins but still a good deal..

Tried to order but it says:

"You cannot back order this item because we are experiencing temporary stock problems. Please remove this item from the basket before continuing "

Phoned Carphone Warehouse, and they confirm there is an issue, but do not know what the problem is at the moment. They have emailed the web company to find out. Will keep trying.

Good find but Internet exclusive deal & no way to find out whether this is the One Plan & tethering included - a must for me. Any know or has found out?

Hot I bought the 02 one as they now unlock for free. Love the idea of unlimited data though.

Comfirmation of dispatch for me about an hour ago, ordered about 10am this morning

Best deal for this phone in my opinion.

In regards to tethering Three only allow it on The One Plan which this isn't.

My question is, do they block any tethering attempts or do they only block if there's excessive use? I would only use 1gb-3gb maximum
    nnenne
Wilk007 you'll receive it tomorrow probably. They send it fast.

why does everyone talk about customer service, do you call them every day or something, ive been with 3 for 7 years 5 contacts, ive now cancelled 2 (kids) i admit it was a bit much telling them i don't want to give it to a family member blah blah blah,
but if its a smartphone you want, and you want to use it for a lot of internet usage, 3 is unbeatable

forget all this customer service nonsense, you 3 haters sound like you call CS everyday, when its probably a couple of times a year
in fact most haters have probably never used 3, just sheep saying what the last man said
as i said if you want a top of the range smartphone, you obviously need good 3g, only 3 offer that on a wide scale

im a gs3 and one x user on 3 both in my house get over 11mb and out side just a smidge over 13mb
voda in same house gets about 2,5mb and outside just over 3mbs

I agree here gouldy. Yes the India outsourcing is a real pain but they eventually get you sorted. I've been on 3 for two years with a pay monthly SIM (1 month's notice to cancel) at £15 pm small call allowance plenty of texts & unlimited data with tethering on iPhone4 (hence the upgrade interest here) & hand on heart the Network delivers consistently better coverage than the others wherever I go in the UK. If its bad on O2 or Orange (& I've had contracts with both) it's usually good with 3 (to the extent I've had family on other networks tether to my phone to get any coverage as well as me using it at the same time). Tethering aspect fantastic when broadband goes down I've had 3 devices (iPads too) tethered which slows things down but some Internet access is better than none, right.
I have no issues with 3 coverage which is better than most & am considering this deal if tethering allowed. I just don't fancy ringing that expensive 0870 CPW advice line so if anyone know if tethering included please confirm...
    Cheers.

Actually you can ring Carphone Warehouse about it as I did and no you can't tether on this one, only the One Plan has that. You maybe able to add tethering as an add on.

For those wondering about tethering - Picked up my phone today and all activated. I looked in the settings and tethering (hotspot) is there and I could enable! Perhaps just a T&C thing rather than physical limitation...

I was all set to sign up but couldn't.
I refuse to give out to ANYONE my home telephone number as they sell the number to scam call centres.
Before moving house in November last year, I was pestered daily as they told my about my windows computer virus among many things.
On moving house, no one gets the number, other than family and close friends and I have not been called once by scammers.
No one is trusted, Banks, shops, call centres and so far its working so having Carphone Warehouse demanding the home phone number is stupid.

So can you get around the Home Phone number issue online?
I only will offer 2 mobile numbers (and yes, I now get scam calls on these so someone is selling the number) but Carphone Warehouse will not accept a mobile number as a land line.
I do want the deal, but I am sticking to my guns on this matter, even if I lose out.

Surely some people don't have a land line, how can they get this deal?

I am one of those who does not have a home phone number, I live in a rented flat with no phone line, is it really a big problem for them? I don't see why they need it

EDIT: Could it do any harm putting a fake number such as the local area code then 000001 for example?

    Nor do I,
I see no reason why they need it, other than to sell the database to make extra revenue.
I have tried putting a 0 in and a mobile number, a hash and typed None and NA but nothing works.
I do have my mums old landline number but I don't want to risk it in fear that it sets a poor credit score or something.
I even googled to see if I could find a way around, to no joy.

Good news about the tethering, I don't use it much but I really need the chance to know it works when I need it.

    Cheers GimmiSomeofthat,
    I tried 0191 0000000 and that worked.
Means they know its a fake number and they will ring the mobile if there is an issue and no risks.
My home number stays safe for a little longer and my stubbornness to have a peaceful home continues.
    6 months and counting. :)

Signed up to the deal -
I wanted unlimited internet and my T-Mobile contract was in its last 30 days.
I phoned a few days ago, T mobile were just not bothered.
Phoned earlier today and got my PAC number after they still would not match their own deal on Phones 4 U (£26 a month £99 phone) and they had the cheek to say Three's Iphone 5 range are not LTE. I corrected her and said its not yet here, but when it is three are doing their high speed at the same price - not scamming people on EE and the Iphone 5 is LTE no matter the network as Apple lock the phone down on activation.

Happy now as the sim only T-Mobile deal was £21 a month that was offered.
Hopefully my Quidco tracked and now I need to sell my 2nd phone - my Iphone 4 lol
So is my Nokia 920 or my new Iphone 5 my new 2nd phone?

Glad that worked for you, I have just emailed CPW to ask of a way to get around the land line bit so I'll see what they have to say.

I'm likely to dive into this deal in the coming days. I have always been a PAYG customer, never had a contract.

Does anybody know if cashback will still go through if I opted for collect from store? I think they use Yodel and I've had endless problems with them.
