Why does the link go to Aldi if you state Lidl?

Shame. Was after a quality spare lead at 1.5m length.

Thanks for correction fragalolly.

Great deal!! I posted a deal with amazons version and it only has 1 year warranty! Heat from me!! :)

B&Q sell these, and the plug part as well for £5 or any 2 for £8. Also 30 pin i-device cable & mini usb I think. Located near the tills in my local stores

Are you saying exact same Silvercrest brand lightning cable with a charger for £5 each at B&Q?
#18
Bought 2 yesterday. Quality cable.

Thanks for your deal. I've corrected the deal for you :)

Nice to see 1.5m, not 1m, American don't realise we stick our sockets next to the skirting board.

Bought 2 yesterday. Quality cable.

How are you determining this is a quality cable, unless you have stripped the cable and plugs back your comment is invalid.

Shame it hasn't got gold plated connectors then it really would be quality :p

Brilliant. I've never had a lead last more than 3 months!

I just buy them from Poundland (for you guessed it, a pound)

They do two types, the plasticky 'Signalex' branded ones and these ones (which seem incredibly similar to Apple ones)...

I've used them with various iPhones (5s/6) and iPads with no problems at all.

The best ones from poundland are the signalex ones, they last about 3 months. Fed up with poundland ones, will be getting these instead.

Thanks OP

Hi. I've been using Poundland leads for about 6 months and my iPhone 5 is now knackered. I can still just about use it but it loses charge like there's no tomorrow and can go from a high percentage to 1% in a matter of minutes just by taking one photo.
I'm due an upgrade at the end of Jan so I'm just holding on, but it's a major pain as I have to charge it about 3-4 times a day and now carry an old cheapo phone with me as a back-up.

According to the following (and other) websites the problem has been caused by using non-official leads:
http://appadvice.com/appnn/2014/06/cheap-unauthorized-cables-are-damaging-the-iphone-5s-logic-board

Dunno if people think this is true or not? but it's put me off using cheap leads forever.
(I thought that as long as I didn't use a cheap plug/charger then I'd be ok.)

It's not the cable that's causing the issue, it's the charger it's plugged into !

Prefer Apple but will use Certified leads, you don't risk damaging a £500+ device only to destroy it with a pound land lead.
#36
What a bloody con, certified leads. When an Android phone will charge off any micro USB device.without self-destructing. Apple really are a shameless bunch of gougers.

(throws away the Poundland leads he bought for the wife's iPhone)
#37
if you have problem who do u contact?
#38
Have had poundland ones & they never last long. Bought 2 Silvercrest cables today & right away you can see the difference in cable quality. States on packaging all Apple products it's suitable for as well as a 3yr guarantee. Even Apple don't give that guarantee.

1 year warranty with lidl, further 2 with manufacturer
