AVG MONTHLY COST = £25.41
Upfront cost £129.99 + £19.99 x 24 months = £609.75

not bad, 1gb of internet is not enough these days....

1GB of Internet is not enough for some people. But many, like me, never get anywhere near 1GB usage. 250-500GB would be a very high usage month for me.

That's why there are a lot of different tariffs available, but there are a lot of different uses.
(and the smartphone gets used intensely, because it has WiFi and there is a lot of WiFi available for my phone)

It's incorrect to just assert that 1GB is not enough for everybody.

One small problem is that it is not £79.99 Upfront as explained by rodman:

"Upfront cost £129.99 + £19.99 x 24 months = £609.75 in total before any quidco

You're correct, you never get anywhere near 1GB, you use 300x more data. :{

so £610 sounds good compared to other deals, but it's a lot for an outdated phone which has only 16gb. not enough storage.

would it not be cheaper to buy the phone & get a giffgaff sim?

Still on the ol' dial up at home bro? :(

I love how people are actually high-and-mighty about needing more data.

'you guys use under 1GB a month? I'm WAY more addicted than that'

I will go for iphone 6 from the same retailer, overall it cost me after cashback £35 from quidco £29.16 per month for 24 months

£100 more is worth it for the latest model.... assume still only a 16gb?

Just bought brand new iphone 6 64gb for £400, have a sim from giffgaff already, if I spend less than £200 (which I will) over two years I am quids in

That's a good price for a 64Gb new iPhone 6 - where did you find that?

off the bay..... filter searches to brand new.... make sure you contact the buyer (how they word responses can help you spot a scammer) and most of all.... be patient...

lmao ebay. So it's not brand new then.
#31
really it would be a £30 per month contract with no upfront fee, which is far too much for the 5s as there are far better phones out there, plus 1gb might last 3 days on 4G if you're lucky!
#32
I got my niece an iPhone 5s 32gb unlimited calls, texts and 2 or 4gb internet (can't remember which) for £28 a month, this was in August last year with o2, my father already has a contract with them so that is why i got this deal.

1gb is plenty for those who don't watch videos or stream. I have a work phone with high volume of email over many support accounts, use Facebook, Twitter , surf a lot and never go over my limit. My wife is likewise even posting pictures. Everywhere I go has wifi if I need it any way. I think this is a pretty good deal.
#38
Why do people think that using 4G is the same as going on the Internet and using 1 GB per minute?(overstatement I know). But the truth is that 4G gives you an experience like you were on wifi when browsing. 3G can sometimes be a real pain to even download a webpage.
#39
Everywhere I go is wifi? Do you guys all live in cities? I don't live in the sticks either but where I am or work there is no free internet. Like many don't use more than 500 mb there are many more who don't have access to wifi when on the move.

to get another gb is 3.99
