I thought it was upgrade available after 11 months? According to the terms & conditions?

Edit: And I don't think Apple care is free, it's included in the cost - do the maths.

As I understand, it's a 20 month contract. You can upgrade after 11 months, in which the 20 month contract restarts. Bear in mind you have to trade-in the phone to get the new one, you can't sell it. If you don't want to upgrade, you continue the payment and get the phone at the end.

One thing to be mindful of: apparently the iPhone 8 will be a big release, and there's talk of a third option (all glass, no bezels, &c) so I wonder how you could jump to that from the upgrade program as it is. Presumably they'll just increase the price. I'm waiting for the next one before I upgrade (although it'll probably be £800 for the uber one, in which case I'll not be getting it:)

£33.45 X 12 is £401 so all I pay is 12 monthly payments of £33.45 for 12 months what happens after that can I keep the phone if I don't want to carry on after 12 months

if you upgrade in a year you are starting a new two year term?

I spoken with Apple customer service other day and according to them yes you can upgrade after 11 months if is new iPhone come out but you have to give your current iPhone back and take new iPhone and new contract will start again....

So you renting a iPhone?

Apple haters will criticise but I think it's a brilliant offer but I would choose to keep it for the full term rather than exchange

You either complete the monthly payments and the phone is yours or you have the choice to upgrade to a different phone mid contract, in turn trading in the current phone and renewing a contract with them. Whats so hard to understand.

£6 per month cheaper without apple care might be a better option for some. So an idmobile £7.50 contract with this works out £35 a month, better deal than buying phone with a contract I think. To be fair not a bad deal, and that's coming from an android fan.

I voted hot, i thought this was a good deal compared to buying hand set separately saves £50 ish (without apple care) just stick a cheap pay monthly sim in (giffgaff £7.50 PM)
I find iphone deals from the popular carries a con
Great if you ACTUALLY use 8GB of data a month but if your like me and 500MB is enough then winner winner chicken dinner !!

Apple added more fuel to the fire by removing the headphone jack on the new iPhones.

I've got a 3GS jailbreak'd and a HTC rooted so for the time being I'm good.

Apple care isn't 'free'. You can get a 0% deal without apple care for £599, which is a much better deal in my opinion
#20
Also the upgrade programme has been a sham in the USA as most customers did not get there new phone after being promised .

iPad air is old, be thankful they even bother to upgrade their old tech most android phones arn't so lucky, with this deal your comment is irrelevent as you get a new phone toting the latest and greatest IOS and running it perfectly.

I also have an 5 year old i5 on windows 10 - works as fast as when I bought it, I guess that's the difference between Microsoft and Apple cores
