Yes

On HUKD, there are generally two popular mobile phones. The £9.99 one and the pink one.

To All those that voted cold, at this price you could buy it and sell on ebay as brand new for more. A great money spinner

Voted hot from me

I was hoping Tesco would make an impact on the iPhone prices in regards to PAYG handsets. However, they are exactly the same as O2's and Orange's PAYG Prices for the Iphone 3GS.

Shame really, I have a 2G iPhone and love it to bits. I bought a Nokia N97 on contract with Orange and sold that within 3 months and went back to my iPhone 2G! I would love to upgrade it to a 3GS but the £440 price tag for 3G, Voice Recorder, Faster Processor & Voice Recorder isn't worth it in my eyes.

I'm hoping in the next 12 months we see Apple release a new iPhone (I wont be suprised if they do) which would allow me to get that one when I am due an upgrade!

However, the tarrifs for iPhones are horrid, so hoping I could keep mine that I am currently on.

All the HTC/blackberry users voting I see. Just face it, you got the wrong phone, iPhone is your daddy.

Isn't this the same price they've been for ages as the other networks?
£342 for 8Gb 3G
£440 for 16Gb 3Gs
#16
I suspect Apple have considerable influence over the pricing :whistling:

Yeah, if Tesco's was offering a pink iPhone they might have something here...

And for whoever said you can buy this and sell on ebay, that makes no sense at all. They are cheaper on ebay new (if only slightly).

I have a 2g from the US. Get even the 3g version down to around £200 and it will start selling, but these prices are way to high. Might as well wait and see what they have next summer, then all these companies will be unloading the old stuff and will have to drop pries.

Thats what im thinking otherwise tesco would of seized the opportunity to make a big impact before christmas

Buy one, unlock it (cant remeber the name. think it rhymes with smackrain ;)) and sell it on as an unlocked phone. Then you can offer £200 more than what you paid for it
#20
i cant find this on their site, anyone got a linky please?:santa:

C'mon, what did you expect?! Did you think that Tesco would offer the Iphone at discounted rates when Apple fixes the price at which retailers can sell it? The OFT is too busy chasing its own tail to get involved with this blatant price fixing - or it's scared that Apple will block the iphones of all employees working for the OFT!!!

It's a brilliant phone but get one on fleabay cheaper and unlock it for all networks if you must.
#24
Voted hot as it looks like the best iPhone deal out there right now. Vodafone said they'd probably give me one for free in January so might wait for that.

The 12 month deals aren't too bad.
£440 for the PAYG one + (20/month for £60 credit) = £680
£322 + (20*12) = £560

£120 saved.
PS: I know that you might not use £60 credit on PAYG, but it was just to make the comparison fair - the contract gives you £60 of calls per month!

Prices of the phone aren't controlled by Tesco, so can't really fault them for the PAYG prices.

What does the £60 a month actually equal in terms of free calls / texts so we can compare to other deals out there? Anybody know?
#37
What a dissapointment, lots of people eagerly waiting for a realistic price on the desirable iphone, their hopes now dashed. Boo Hoo !
#38
the porter
mate try reading the ops deal and all will be revealed :whistling:

Pay Monthly / 12 months / £20 per month
£60 of calls & text - DOESNT BREAK IT DOWN DOES IT? Guess you thought I meant the £60 a month deal as appose to the £20!! :whistling:
#39
You know the iPhone is voted the worst PHONE. Def the best all in one gadget but the phone itself as in texting calling, taking picts and multi media msgs are very poor.
Saying that i have the iPhone 3G and i got this last July. I am still not bored of this phone after 17 months, and this is the only phone i have been able to say that about.
Worth the money as the iPhone just does not lose its value. Top All in one Gadget.
#40
I have an Iphone but this aint a deal. To be honest none of the carriers are offering a deal. That might be because of greedy "crapple" having fixed prices for the handsets when they sell it the carriers
