Bought in Kings Heath, Birmingham. It works in that it charges my iphone 4 and has audio out. Don't know about ipad!

Edit: Been using it for a couple of hours now, with it attached to computer by usb and through some speakers I had, works fine. Syncs normally and it is a pretty snug fit. I have a 'Speck' cover on my iphone 4 and this DOES have to be removed.

Tried it on a Bose soundwave and again, sounded fine but I am no audiophile. Strangely though, it continued to play after I had disconnected the USB. This was the same with computer speakers. Didn't charge like in this mode though.

HOT!

But how do they do this? How can they possibly make and sell something like this with profit for just £1?? Incredible. Even if it was made in the middle east with a poor little kid being paid just 10p a week to make 1000 (which thankfully it isnt), it would still be incredible to sell this at just a quid.

Bargain!

Is this just the 1 store or anyone eles picked one up?

Just before i drive afair bit for one.
#12
is anyone able to purchase me one when they get theirs. I would send payment first for p&p and travel to shop...
#13
do you reckon this would work with an iPod classic?

1) Upload the image to Image Shack: http://www.imageshack.us/
2) Once uploaded, several boxes will appear with various links to the uploaded image
The direct link will be greyes out as you need to sign up to access this so just copy an past the address in the forum code box into a reply to this thread - we'll be able to pick out the direct link from there.

Do you not think that it's perhaps a 'loss leader' product for Poundland instead, bud? That would make more sense to me..

Either way, bargain price, voted hot, OP :)

None in the Farnborough store, shame as I'd have got a few for around the house.

Quality of components and materials and therefore reduced cost. Tool up and knock them out by the million - see how long it lasts for as a result!

Never have stuff like this in my local pound land unfortunately. People just go in and clear the shelves of stuff like this.

Whenever ive come across images upside down while im on the pc, i always tilt my head etc and always felt like turning the monitor upside down. Now that im on my laptop (waiting for a HDD to come through for the pc), i smiled when i saw the image posted upside down and guess what? The laptop was turned 180 degrees and the image made sense. I was proud.

I then browsed to the next page. Thanks J400 for making me feel like a tit!

Don't want to get into a 'Mac vs All other computers' debate, but Macs don't have great keyboards and i genuinely prefer Windows to OSX >.< I will however commend Apple on their brilliant screens, though they're certainly not worth the price premium.

If there was just one thing I could pick about my MacBook then it would be the keyboard. It's vastly superior to any other I've used, much more comfortable and speed and accuracy is unrivalled!
Anyway!

No, I refuse Sir! I'm not going to let the small issue of an Apple product actually being good to dampen my hatred of Steve Job$ (look I used a dollar sign!) and his minions!

(Get well soon though Steve).

Hot! Definately worth buying considering Apple's own USB charge cables are about as durable as a Britain's got Talent contestant's mental health.

Can someone please confirm if the the iphone 4 with the incase (snap case) on will fit in this?
thanks
#35
Cold none in my local store either
#36
lol...buy overpriced but stylishly designed apple product, then buy £1 piece of tat to sit it on...you're having a laugh.
Hot for the price though.

Cambridge Grafton centre had a bunch of these, I took a look and they're quite respectable and solid; it's just the dock, no cable..

..but nearby there was a triple-pack of USB short adaptor cables with mini USB, apple and microusb for charging/connecting to a computer.

I did. I had a macbookpro for two months... and then I installed linux on it after a month, as I found OSX's GUI annoying, it was uncustomisable to my needs, it lacked the software I wanted, and I got fed up with it. A new member of staff joined, so I wiped and reinstalled it, cleaned it up, reboxed it, and got a regular laptop which was better pretty much every way for 80% of the price (high end Tecra).

Don't get me wrong, apple devices are ideal for many people, those who want computers to be somewhat of an appliance - just plug in and work - and have no interest in the underlying technology (which is perfectly fine, this is not a dig. I don't care how my dishwasher works, and other people don't care how their computer works).
